ROTH, Vernon Elroy\emdash Passed away on Saturday, Oct. 26, 1996, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Vernon Roth, of Nithview Apartments, New Hamburg.
He was born 75 years ago, a son of the late Soloman Roth and Amelia Erb. Vernon had lived and farmed all of his life in Tavistock and area until moving to Nithview Apartments in 1992 and was a member of Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church.
Husband of the former Ruby Jutzi, whom he married November 29, 1944. Father of Donald and his wife Doreen of RR 1, Tavistock, Janet Stemmler of Burnaby, B.C., Ruth and her husband Doug Wagner of New Hamburg, Mary Lou and her husband Richard Witzel of RR 1, Innerkip and Carolyn and her husband Ron Witzel of RR 1, Tavistock. Sadly missed by his 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother, Lorne and sister, Florence Roth, both of New Hamburg and by brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elda Roth and Ruth Roth, both of New Hamburg and Stanley Ropp and his wife Mary of Tavistock.
Predeceased by granddaughter, Kirsten Ann Witzel and son-in-law, Michael Stemmler; by brother and sisters-in-law, Alvin and wife Lucille, Wilfred, Elton, Esther, Leonard and Leona Ropp.
Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, this evening (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1996 to East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16^th Line for the service at 2 p.m. Howard Bean and Earl Koch will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christian Aid Ministries or the Nithview Home would be appreciated by the family.
