    BEARINGER, David M. - At his home, 247 Franklin St. N., on Saturday, November 20, 1976, David M. Bearinger, formerly of Parkway and Elmira, age 87 years.

    Mr. Bearinger was born in Waterloo Township, a son of the late Noah Bearinger and the former Nancy Martin. A member of Pioneer park Christian Fellowship. Formerly owned and operated Parkway Feed Mill for many years.

    He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elvina Shantz, in 1945; a son Urias (Riley), October 8, of this year; a granddaughter Carolyn Ruth Bowman and by five brothers and one sister.

    Surviving are three daughters, Vera (Mrs. Delton Martin) of Elmira, Almeda (Mrs. Leonard Snider) of Waterloo, and Doris (Mrs. Harold Bowman) of Kitchener, and a son, Vernon Bearinger of Waterloo; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Martin of Elmira; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until noon on Tuesday when removal will be made to the Pioneer Park Christian Fellowship Church, 68 Biehn Drive (off Huron Road), formerly Strasburg Mennonite Church, for funeral and comital service at 2:30 pm with Rev. Darrell D. Jantzi officiating. Interment in the family plot in First Mennonite Cemetery.

    Martin.- Vera Bearinger, daughter of David and Elvina (Shantz) Bearinger, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Oct. 1, 1916; died of cancer at Kitchener, Ont., July 24, 1987; aged 70 y. On June 12, 1940, she was married to Delton Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters (Janice Cressman and Isobel Frey), one son (Kenneth), 10 grandchildren, and 2 sisters (Almeda Snider and Doris Bowman). She was a member of Floradale Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on July 26, in charge of J. Lester Kehl; interment in Floradale Church Cemetery.

    MARTIN, Mrs. Delton (Vera) - On Friday, July 24, 1987, at K-W Hospital, in her 71st year, Vera Bearinger.

    Beloved wife of Delton Martin of RR 2, Wallenstein; dear mother of Mrs. Cal (Janice) Cressman and Mrs. Mahlon (Isobel) Frey, both of Elmira and Kenneth of Port Au Prince, Haiti. Ten grandchildren also survive. Sister of Mrs. A. Leonard (Almeda) Snider of Waterloo and Mrs. Harold (Doris) Bowman of Kitchener.

    Predeceased by two brothers, Urias and Vernon and her parents, David and Elvina (Shantz) Bearinger.

    Visitation at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until Sunday at noon, when removal will be made to the Floradale Mennonite Church for funeral service at 3 p.m. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

    ALMEDA SNIDER
    1921 - 2010

    It is with sadness that we share the passing of Almeda Snider on May 22, 2010 at the age of 89. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Hackett of Kitchener; a son, Mark (Kim Market) of North Bay; and a daughter, Jane (Larry Nafziger) of Ottawa; also a sister, Doris Bowman and brother-inlaw, Harold Bowman, and sister-inlaw, Marjorie Bearinger. She will be missed by grandchildren Zakary Nafziger, Hannah and Abram Snider, step-granddaughter Adwenna Peters. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Leonard Snider (2001); her parents David and Elvina (Shantz) Bearinger; two brothers, Riley and Vernon and his twin sister, Vera. As a member of Erb St. Mennonite Church for many years, Almeda enjoyed meeting with the women's groups there and serving in several positions on the executive. She also worked on the library committee at the church for a number of years. She will be remembered for her interest in current affairs, her love of gardening and flowers, and her love of travel. The many quilts she made for her children are a tangible reflection of her heritage. Friends are invited to share their memories of Almeda with her family during visitation at Erb Street Mennonite Church, 131 Erb Street West, Waterloo on Tuesday, May 25 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the church on Wednesday, May 26 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. A family interment service will take place at Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.     BOWMAN, Doris Ruth Passed away peacefully with family at her side at the St. Mary's General Hospital on Thursday November 23, 2017 at the age of 89. Beloved wife to Harold for 66 years. Loving mother to David (Bonnie Lee) Bowman, Ruth Anne (Roger) Bowman, Philip (Brenda) Bowman. Devoted grandma to Jenny Lee, Lindsay, Tyler, Kelsey, Matthew, Michelle, Corey, Curtis, and Catrina. Also fondly remembered by her 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter Carolyn (1959), and her parents David and Elvina Bearinger (nee Shantz) also predeceased by her siblings; a twin brother in infancy, Urias Bearinger, Vernon Bearinger, Vera Martin, Almeda Snider. Survived by her in laws Stuart and Ruth Bowman, Alex and Enid Crowley. Sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
