    Notes:

    Mrs. Elam M. Weber, 71, of RR 1, Elmira, died Sunday at her home after a lengthy illness. The former Veronica Martin, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian P. Martin, she was born May 21, 1894, in Waterloo Township. Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married Dec. 8, 1916; four sons, Christian of RR 1, Elmira, Aden of RR 2, Drayton, Orvle at home and Ion of RR 4, Elmira; two daughters, Mary Ann and Minerva, both at home; three brothers, Isaiah and John of RR 1, Waterloo, and Tobias of RR 4, Elmira; 29 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One brother and one sister predeceased her. The body was at her home where the funeral was conducted Wednesday at 9 am, followed by a service at North Woolwich Mennonite Meeting House. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    WEBER, Christian M. - Peacefully, on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the home of John Brubacher, Christian Weber, in his 92nd year, of RR 1, St. Jacobs, formerly of RR 1, Harriston. Beloved husband of Violet (Snyder) Weber for 63 years. Dear father of MaryAnne and John Brubacher of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Irvon and Minerva Weber of RR 2, Elmira, Elam and Mary Weber of RR 1, Pembroke, Sara and Ananias Martin of RR 1, Gorrie, Malinda Weber, Lena and Ervin Horst, all of RR 1, Newton, David and MaryAnn Weber of RR 1, Harriston. Also survived by 29 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Brother of Minerva and Ion Weber and brother-in-law of Noah Martin and Lucinda Weber. Predeceased by his parents Elam and Veronica (Martin) Weber; one daughter in infancy; two brothers and one sister. Friends called at the home of John Brubacher, RR 1, St. Jacobs on Thursday (yesterday) from 3-6 pm. and may call today (Friday) from 1-5 p.m. then to Conestogo Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.

Also surviving are one brother and six sisters; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aden Weber of Floradale, maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Bauman of RR 3, Wallenstein. He was predeceased by two brothers. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira after 2 p. m. Sunday until Tuesday noon. Private service in the chapel at 1 p. m. Tuesday, followed by a public service at Calvary Conservative Mennonite Church, North Woolwich. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
