    HALLMAN, Quentin B.
    After a brief illness, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Sunday, April 23, 1989, Quentin Hallman, in his 84th year.
    Loving husband of Isabel Ferguson Hallman of Ayr; dear father of Marlyn of Kitchener and Beverley and his wife Sylvia of Ottawa and father to Richard Cudney of New Dundee. Mr. Hallman will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kevin, Gwen, Ronald, Randy and Patty.
    He was predeceased by his first wife, Izetta Merner (1956) and his second wife, Pearl Cudney; three sisters, Elera, Ruby and Ilah (Mrs. Weston Sararas) and his parents, Edwin B. Hallman and Alice Bettschen.
    Mr. Hallman served as deputy reeve of Wilmot township, was vice president and president of North Waterloo Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance. An active member of the Liberal Association. A member of the New Hamburg Fair Board, New Dundee Parks Board. He farmed in Wilmot township from 1935 until 1977, when he retired and moved to Ayr, where he was a member of Knox United Church.
    The family will receive friends at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. S. (at Westmount Road), Kitchener, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m., Rev. George Saunders will officiate. Interment New Dundee Union cemetery.

    Quentin married Ann Izetta May Merner 1935. Ann (daughter of Edward Merner and Sarah E. Reid, daughter of Edward Merner) was born 4 Apr 1904, Hay Twp., Huron Co., Ontario, Canada; died 26 Oct 1956, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried 29 Oct 1956, New Dundee Union Cemetery, New Dundee, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
