    JANTZI, Mrs. Ellas (Laura) Peacefully, on Thursday, Dec. 12, 1996, sur- rounded by her family, at Nith View Home, in New Hamburg, Laura Jantzi, of Nith View and formerly of the 5th Line of Wellesley township, born in Wilmot, 84 years ago.

    Daughter of the late Solomon R. Gerber and the late Laura Leis.

    Laura was a faithful member of Crosshill Mennonite Church, where she was active in the WMSC. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

    Loving mother of Melvin and his wife Patricia Jantzi of RR 2, Petersburg, Dorothy and her husband Mervin Roth of New Hamburg, Orland and his wife Eleanor Jantzi of Waterloo, Stanley and his wife Liza Jantzi of RR 1. St. Clements, Esther and her husband Mel Harrison of Cambridge; dear sister of Solomon and his wife Eva Gerber, Ohmer and his wife Sarah Gerber, Moses and his wife Mildred Gerber, all of Wellesley, Esther, Mrs. David Schwartz of New Hamburg, Sarah, Mrs. Ralph Leis of New Hamburg, Elmina, Mrs. Alvin Jantzi of Wellesley; sister-in-law of Sarah, Mrs. Elmer Gerber of Stratford, Mary, Mrs. Amos Gerber of Millbank, Miriam, Mrs. Irvin Nafziger of New Hamburg, Mary, Mrs. Simeon Jantzi of Waterloo, Edna, Mrs. Sam Jantzi of Wellesley; brother-in-law, Nick Schmidt of Stratford. Lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Elias W. Jantzi (Jan. 11, 1978); two brothers, Elmer and Amos; one sister Emma Schmidt.

    Visitation at Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St. W., in Wellesley, where family and friends will be received today (Saturday) from 7-9 and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon Monday, Dec. 16th, removal will be made to the Maple View Mennonite Church for the service at 2:30 p.m. Pastor James Ferber and Rev. Gerald -Schwartzentruber will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maple View Mennonite Cemetery.

    JANTZI, Orland July 9, 1940 - August 30, 2012 Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 72. Beloved husband and best friend of Eleanor of 49 years. Beloved father of Tom (Sherri) and Cynthia Clasper. Orland was a loving Grandpa and Papa to his three special grand-daughters, Candice, Jadyn and Chloe. Dear brother of Mel (Pat) Jantzi, Dorothy Roth, Esther (Mel) Harrison, Stan (Lisa) Jantzi. He is also survived by Eleanor's sisters and brothers Delphine (Mel) Zehr, Joy (Cornelius) Klassen, Kathy (Paul) Steckle, Chuck (Tanya) Erb, Marjorie Steckle, and Phil (Laurie) Erb. Predeceased by his parents Elias and Laura Jantzi, in-laws Mervin Roth, Gerald Steckle, Carol and Cyril Erb Gingerich, nephew Peter Hammer and niece Connie Steckle. Orland lived for his work as the owner and operator of Summer Breeze Heating and Air Conditioning. He enjoyed life and work to the fullest and never gave a thought to retirement. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Kitchener. Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Monday, September 3, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 4, from 1-2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. at First Mennonite Church. Reception to follow in the church hall. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy to the family, donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee or the Heart and Stroke Foundation by contacting the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home at 519-745-8445 or at www.erbgood.com.
