The death of Henry Z. Wagner, 85 occurred early this morning at his home in Heidelberg. after an Illness of six weeks.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johannes Wagner, be was born at Wilmot Townships June 30, 1863. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Heidelberg.

Surviving are his wife, the former Emma Dengis, one son, Harry: one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Maud) Cape; two brothers. John, Wellesley, and Daniel of Doon, one sister, Mrs William Huras, Kitchener, Three grandchildren also survive.

The body will rest at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Heidelberg, for service at 3 p. m. Internment be made in the Heidelberg Cemetery. Rev Roy N. Grosz, Kitchener, will officiate.

Following a brief illness, Daniel Z. Wagner, 72, Doon, died at the K-W Hospital, last night.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wagner he was born at Wilmot Township, Jan. 1, 1876. He was a member of the Church of Our Redeemer, Waterloo.

Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Wiegand; three sons, Alfred, Detroit, and Herman and Herbert, Kitchener; eight daughters, Mrs. Clayton (Lilly) Bowman; Mrs. Benjamin (Edna) Grube, and Mrs. Roy (Dora) Colpitt, all of Kitchener; Mrs. Arthur (Louisa) Thomas, and Mrs. Carl (Frieda) Schaefer, of Waterloo; Miss Alvina Wagner, Doon; and Mrs. Wilfred (Alice) Witzel, Kirkland Lake; one brothers, John Z. Wagner, Wellesley; and one sister, Mrs. William Huras, Kitchener; twenty-one grandchildren also survive.

The body will rest at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until one o'clock Sunday when removal will be made to the Church of Our Redeemer, Waterloo, for service at 2:30 pm.

Interment will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Kitchener. Rev. C.T. Wetzstein will officiate.

Beloved father of Roy and his wife Susan of Kitchener, James and his wife Alice of Waterloo and Dorothy (Mrs. Gilbert Jones) of Kitchener; dear grandfather of Bryon and Douglas Huras, Brenda Hagedorn, Thomas and Jonathon Huras, Debbie Elsby, Sherry Miller and Cindy and Donald Huras and four great- grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, the former Flora Lautenschlager in 1985, his two sons, Donald and Weyburn; his brothers, Eckert, William and Herman; his sisters, Margaret Main, Amelia Schmidt, Clara Schmidt and Paula Kaufman. Mr. Huras was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Queen Street South, Kitchener; attended Euler Business College in Kitchener (Berlin). After being discharged from the Canadian Army in 1918, he joined the Kitchener Post Office. In 1930, acquired the Waterloo Spring Company Limited, where he was president until his retirement in 1975. In 1958, Mr. Huras established Huras Hopewell Farms in Breslau, which he operated until he had a stroke in 1975. Alfred Wagner of 19834 Midway Ave., Southfield, Mich., died Tuesday at Highland Park Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 68.

Born in Wellesley Dec. 30, 1900, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wagner. He moved to Southfield 47 years ago.

Mr. Al Hollinger pursued his interest in Music by attending and teaching at the Sherwood Music Conservatory in Chicago, Illinois. After becoming an American citizen, "Al" continued his education and teaching at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. His musical training culminated with a Master's Degree in Music at the University of Houston and the Conservatory of Music in Houston, Texas. While instructing music classes at the University of North Texas, he met and fell in love with a student who was to become his wife. On November 6, 1942, Al and Hazel Mae Taylor married in Ft. Worth, Texas. Al and Hazel continued to "make music together" for over 60 years until Hazel's death. Mr. Al Hollinger continued to teach music and was the high school band director at Longview and then Kilgore High Schools. While serving as the Kilgore Band Director, Al mentored and taught Van Cliburn. Al was honored to learn of Van Cliburn's acceptance into New York's Julliard School of Music after recommending Van Cliburn to the program. One of Al's greatest joys was pianist Van Cliburn's later international success and fame. Al cited Van Cliburn as," the pride of my professional life." In a note to Mr Hollinger in May of 2005, Van Cliburn wrote, "How well and fondly I remember your kindness and virtuosic playing of the clarinet. Thank you for the wonderful time in the Kilgore High School band. You have my continued appreciation and warm wishes." In 1956, business opportunities brought Al, Hazel, and their three children to Killeen. Al owned, operated, and developed the Killeen Credit Bureau. The bureau was family owned and managed until it was purchased from Charles Hollinger by Experian International Financial Services Group in 2003. Passion for music and community involvement continued as Al transitioned from Professor of Music to Killeen businessman. He initiated the funding and presentation of the "Arian Award" to outstanding local high school musicians. This tradition began in 1957 and continues today as son, Charles, presents these awards in K.I.S.D. high schools. This passion for Music and the Arts led Al and Hazel to inaugurate the Community Concert Series' Program, in conjunction with a small group of Killeen visionaries. This pro-gram ultimately led to the formation of the "Vive Les Arts Society", which has continued to enliven and promote the appreciation of the fine arts in Central Texas. Through the Hollinger's work with the Community Concert Series, they enjoyed hosting Guy Lombardo and his orchestra in their Harker Heights home. For over fifty years, Mr. Hollinger continued his active support and involvement with several Killeen organizations. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and served on numerous committees. He also enjoyed membership in the Killeen Noon Lion's Club, the Harker Heights 55-up Club, the Gilmore Senior Center and the Wally Byam Caravan Club. A variety of hobbies and interests kept Mr. Hollinger busy. They included: Air-Stream RV travel, genealogy, historical-religious research, and domestic and foreign travels. Al and Hazel traveled the world together and delighted in travels to Canada, Mexico, South America, Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia, and Africa. Touring the pyramids in Egypt and a steamboat ride down the Amazon were highlights of their explorations abroad. Mr. Hollinger was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel, on July 18, 2003. Survivors,ioclude two sons, pharles Hollinger and wife, Lynda, and Robert "Bob" Hollinger and wife, Sherry, both of Killeen; one daughter, Carolyn Evans and husband, Peter, who reside in Ashland, Kentucky; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Al's energy, wit, and love of life and music will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 15th at 3:00pm at the Grace Lutheran Church on Trimmier Road in Killeen. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church building fund, the Lion's Club camp in Kerrville, Texas, the Lion's Club "Sight First" campaign, and to the K.I.S.D. high school music programs.

Entered into the hands of the Lord on February 28, 2012 at the Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, with his family at his side. Lloyd was born in Petersburg, Ontario where he lived until he married his wife Helen when they moved to Kitchener where they began their family together. Predeceased by his wife Helen (nee Seyler) in July 2007. Beloved father of Larry and wife Carole of Elmira, Judy Mundell and husband John of Orillia. Plan Separate Rites for Shooting Victims

Separate funeral services will be conducted Monday for the three dead in yesterday's shooting at Waterloo Spring Company, Ltd.

Services for Donald Huras, 27, and Frederick Beilstein, 41, will be conducted in the afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran Church by Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt.

The body of Mr. Beilstein will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 am Monday when it will be removed to the church where friends may pay their respects until the service at 2 pm. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.

The body of Mr. Huras will be at the same funeral home until Monday at 2 pm. The service will be at the church at 3:30 pm. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.

Both Mr. Huras and Mr. Beilstein were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Riem was born in Yugoslavia in 1920 and came to Canada in 1927. He was a member of St. Mary's RC Church.

Jim dedicated his life to the betterment of his family, church and community. He proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy as Chief Petty Officer on H.M.C.S. Prince David during W.W. II and participated in D-Day. After the war, he worked as a tool and die maker in Kitchener. Jim enjoyed a successful career with Kenmore Construction, which he founded in 1955. He was a past president of the Niagara Home Builders' Association and a long standing member of Christ Lutheran Church. He received an honourary Doctorate of Laws degree from Brock University in 1997 in recognition of his dedication to the University, to Concordia Lutheran Seminary and to the Niagara community. Jim served on the boards of Lutherwood Village for Youth (Waterloo) and Luther Manor for Seniors. He enjoyed countless summer days on the shores of Red Bay, watching sunsets, fishing, golfing and sailing to his heart's content. Jim lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered by the many lives he touched with his kindness, generosity and sense of humour. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who cared for Jim over the years. Special thanks to Dr. Roger Rose for his tireless dedication and kindness, Levi Hearn, Sandra and staff at Sandra's Home Health Care, and to the staff of Royal Henley Retirement Residence and Pioneer Elder Care. Passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his residence Nithview Community, New Hamburg in his 82nd year. Verne was born in Wellesley, Ont. on June 9, 1935, son of the late Adam and Christina (Wagner) Hammer.

Beloved husband of Joyce (Meyer) Hammer with whom he had celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Dear father of Cheryl (Jim) Lee and Jeff (Mary).

Proud grandfather of Tim Lee and Greg Lee (Kayleigh). Loving great-grandfather of Madison and Keaton Lee. Remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sadly missed by his brother Bill (Jane) and sister Doreen Groff. Verne was predeceased by brother-in-law Merle Groff.

A graduate of Waterloo Lutheran University, Verne continued his education as he pursued a solid career in business, advancing through Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Dominion Electrohome Industries.

He then joined Collier Macmillan Canada in Galt, Ont. Verne moved to England as Deputy Managing Director of Collier Macmillan International, returning to Canada as President of Collier Macmillan Canada.

He also lectured for and became President of the Canadian Institute of Certified Administrative Managers. Verne furthered his career by opening his own business, lnterprint Services.

Always an avid sportsman, retirement allowed him to compete in curling and lawn bowling. Verne was active in his church as well as The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 532, New Hamburg and Retired Business and Professional Men's Club of Kitchener, Waterloo.

Verne's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday May 25, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A celebration of Verne's life will take place on Friday May 26, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Reception to follow.
