    BRUBACHER, Minerva (Mrs. Roy M.) - Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, January 20, 2003, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Minerva (Snyder) Brubacher, in her 85th year, of Fairview Retirement Suites, Cambridge, formerly of St. Jacobs.Beloved wife of the late Roy M. Brubacher for 59 years, who predeceased her March 16, 2002. Loving and devoted mother of Laverne and Ella Brubacher of St. Jacobs, Carol and Leroy Shantz of Waterloo, Arlene and John Groh of Waterloo, Marion and Ray Martin of Toronto, Ralph and Anne Brubacher of St. Jacobs. Fondly remembered by her eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Roy (Clara) Snyder of Waterloo, Erma (Cleason) Horst of Cambridge, Joe (Beatrice) Snyder of Elmira, Mabel (Lewis) Sauder of St. Jacobs, Dorothy Snyder of Cambridge.Predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Leah (Gingrich) Snyder; three brothers, Cleason (Myrtle), Nelson (Vera) and Orville; one brother and one sister in infancy and one great-grandson, Adam Shantz.Minerva was a faithful member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church and the WMSC. She was active in the Lexington Women's Institute. As a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Minerva found joy and fulfillment.The family will receive friends and relatives at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge today (Wednesday) from 2-4 p.m. Visitation will then continue at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 12 noon Friday, transfer will be made to St. Jacobs Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Harold Hildebrand Schlegel officiating followed by interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. In her memory, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee or Fairview Mennonite Home would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.Minerva's family wish to express their thanks to the staff of Fairview Mennonite Home and the doctors and nurses at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion shown to her.
