    CHRISTOPHER LORNE STRAUSS 1977 - 2006

Died suddenly, doing what he loved, Sunday, May 14, 2006, in his 30th year. He outdrove his guardian angel. Beloved son of Jim Strauss and his mother, Joyce who he joined in heaven on Mother's Day. Adored brother of Shaun. He will be loved and missed forever by his grandparents, Ada Hofstetter and Ed and Mary Strauss, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and his girlfriend, Christy Hughes. Wonderful friend to a whole bunch of crazy and beautiful people who will always remember him for his sense of adventure, fun, and appreciation of life. Chris was loved instantly by everyone who met him. He was a millwright for eight years and was excellent at his job. His colleagues were constantly entertained by his wild stories and loved being around him. Chris' passion was playing with his toys and having fun. He loved dirt biking, quadding, snowmobiling, and most of all, biking with the boys. His Yamaha R-1 and his truck were his pride and joy. Chris was an avid fisherman and a champion horseshoe player. He dove into everything he did head first, and had more hobbies than he could manage. Recently, after years of research and many months of searching, he made his dream purchase, a silver and grey 2000 Dodge Viper. For the past month, Chris has been having the time of his life getting noticed and raising thumbs throughout Kitchener-Waterloo. Chris lived life at 110%: fast, fun, and surrounded by love. He will be missed and forever remembered by all who knew him. Friends are invited to share their memories of Chris with his family during visitation at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Parkminster United Church, 275 Erb Street East, Waterloo on Thursday, May 18 at 1 p.m. with the Rev.
