    DAHMER, Edgar George - At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Saturday, August 12, 2006 in his 88th year. Dear husband of Theresa; beloved father of Doug and wife Lillie of Cambridge and Don and wife Dorothy of Conn. U.S.A. Dear step-father of Jim Cooper and wife Cheryl of Cambridge, Tim Cooper and wife Doreen of Kamloops, B.C. and Brian Cooper and wife Marg of St. Jacob's. He will be missed by his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Edgar was predeceased by his first wife, Betty, (1987). Edgar was a former sales manager of Weston Bakeries and had retired many years ago after over 37 years of service. He was actively involved in sports in the Waterloo region. He served on the executive for the Kitchener Rangers for over 20 years. He umpired softball in this area for many years. He was a veteran of the Second World War. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 530, Waterloo. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends today (Monday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church, 131 Flax Mill Drive, Conestogo on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A legion service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Branch 530 will be held at the funeral home chapel this evening at 7 p.m.
