    Mewhiney, Mrs. Susannah (Susie) - On Saturday, January 14, 1978, at K-W Hospital Susannah Kraemer, beloved wife of the late Herbert Mewhiney, of Elmira, aged 78 years. Her first husband, William G. Martin, predeceased her in 1945 and her second husband, Herbert Mewhiney in 1960. Dear mother of Mrs. Douglas (Esther) Waugh and Mrs. Rose (Annabelle) Waugh, both of Kitchener, Mrs. George (Lena) Belback and Mrs. Anthony (Bertha) Plein, both of Elmira, J. David Martin of Conestogo. One son and one sister predeceased her. Sister of Mrs. Menno Knarr, Daniel Kraemer and Israel Kraemer, all of Route 1, St. Jacobs. Seventeen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. Friends called at the Dreisinger funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, after Sunday noon, until Tuesday noon when removal was made to Gale Presbyterian Church for funeral service at 3 pm. Interment in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery.

    Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Williamsburg Cemetery.

    Passed away at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at the age of 88 years.

    Wife of the late Cleason Bearinger (2014). Dear mother of David (Vera) Bearinger, Irene (John) Gingrich, Elmer (Elaine) Bearinger, Elsie (James) Martin, Edgar (Marlene) Bearinger, and Vernon (Colleen) Bearinger.

    Lovingly remembered by 33 grandchildren and 87 great-grandchildren.
    Sister of Edna Martin (the late Noah E.), sister-in-law of Agnes Kraemer (the late Ivan), Eva Bearinger (the late Abner), Annie Bowman (the late Emanuel), and Edna Martin (the late Orlan).

    She was predeceased by her son, Lester; three grandchildren: Fern Bearinger, Stuart Martin and Beverly Bearinger; her parents Daniel and Leavea (Martin) Kraemer; her brother Ivan, and brothers and sisters-in-law Noah and Lucinda Bauman, Ivan and Ida Bearinger, Leonard and Lovina Bauman, Abner Bearinger, Emanuel Bowman, and Orlan Martin.

    Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12 - 4 and 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Bearinger home, 1158 Wittick Road, RR 1, Elmira. A family service will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the home, followed by burial and further service at Elmira Mennonite Meeting House. Masks are required for viewing and funeral service.

    Kraemer, Ivan ~ (1939 \endash 2015) - Passed away peacefully into the presence of the Master Carpenter on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the age of 76 years. Ivan, of St. Jacobs, was the beloved husband of Agnes (Brubacher) Kraemer. Loving father of Rosemary (Steve) Martin, Pauline (Leon) Brubacher, Joanne (Wayne) Freeman, Susan (Larry) Martin, Shirley (Arnie) Gingrich, Terry (Julie) Kraemer, Laurie (Leroy) Martin, and Dave (Janet) Brubacher. He will be sadly missed by his 32 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Remembered by his sisters Salome Bearinger and Edna (Noah) Martin, and brother-in-law Eugene (Susanna) Brubacher. Predeceased by an infant daughter, a son Brian, a daughter Carol Brubacher, and a brother-in-law Cleason Bearinger. Ivan, former owner of Kraemer Woodcraft, was a respected businessman and well known for his community and church involvement. He was an active member of Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, always willing to express his faith in action. Visitation will be at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, Hawkesville on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. Thank you to the CCAC nurses and the staff at Grand River Cancer Centre and the Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate care.     David B. Kraemer, 78, of Stratton, Ont., passed on to his eternal reward on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his home where he resided with his daughter, Miriam, and family. He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in St. Jacobs, Ont. to the late Israel and Magdalena Kraemer. On March 9, 1955, he was united in marriage to Anna Brubacher. The Lord blessed them with 57 years together and a family of two sons and two daughters. In June, 1965, they moved to Deer Lake, Ont., where they were involved in working among the aboriginal peoples. In June, 1967, they moved to Rainy River District, where they resided for the next 23 years.

    In September, 1990, they moved to Keenes, Ill. Beginning in 2005, they came back to Rainy River District for the summer, until they moved permanently to Stratton in April, 2010 due to failing health. Fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Anna, and their children, Raymond and wife, Doris, of Keenes, Ill., Eva (Mrs. Larry Steiner) of Barwick, Ont., Miriam (Mrs. Melvin Heatwole) of Stratton, Ont., and Andrew and wife, Lois, of Sullivan, Ill. He also is lovingly remembered by his 11 grandsons, 11 granddaughters, and 26 great-grandchildren.

    He also is survived by two sisters and one brother, Almeda, wife of the late Christian Martin, of St. Clements, Ont., Adeline (Mrs. Emmanuel Bauman) of St. Jacobs, Ont., and Osiah of Regina, Sask.; and one sister-in-law, Almeda (Elam) (Mrs. Leonard Martin). He was predeceased by one brother, Elam; one sister, Lovina (Milton) Frey; two brothers-in-law, Milton Frey and Christian E. Martin; and one grandson, Gary Kraemer.

    In his youth, David accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized into the Mennonite Church. At the time of his death, he was a faithful member and beloved brother of the Pineview Mennonite Church. Visitation was held Monday, May 7, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Pineview Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 1: 30 p.m. at the Barwick Community Hall. Interment in the Pineview Mennonite Cemetery.

    Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor. Elmira. after 7 p.m. Wednesday until Thursday morning at 10. a.m.. when removal was made to his house at Route 1, St. Jacobs, where a private service was held at 1 p.m.. on Thursday. Removal was then made to Martins Mennonite Meeting House for public service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
