    BOWMAN, Mrs. Elias

    On Sunday, March 30, 1980, at her home, Route 1, Wallenstein, Rachel Bowman, wife of Elias Bowman, aged 71 years.

    Mother of George, Mrs. Daniel (Ada) Martin, Samuel, Josiah and Menno, all of Route 1. Wallenstein, Mrs. Edward (Selina) Martin of Route 3, Wallenstein. Also surviving are 43 grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Peter (Angeline) Metzger of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Dilman (Hannah) Brubacher of Route 2, Elmira, Mrs. Amos (Selina) Weber of Route 1. Elmira, Mrs. Edward (Minerva) Snyder of Wallenstein. She was predeceased by three sons, three brothers and one sister.

    The funeral will be held from the home on Wednesday, April 2, 1980, at 9 a.m. Removal will then be made to South Peel Mennonite Meeting House, for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    BOWMAN, George B. Passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at the age of 80 years. George Bowman, of Wallenstein, was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Rudy) Bowman (2007). Father of Sarah Bowman of Kitchener; Malinda and Annie Bowman both of Elmira; Saloma Bowman of Milverton; Samuel and Ellen Bowman of Wallenstein; John and Pauline Bowman of RR#3, Listowel; Rebecca, Elvina and Louisa Bowman, and Joseph and Elaine Bowman all of Wallenstein; and Esther Bowman of West Montrose. Grandfather of 16 grandchildren. Brother of Ada and Daniel Martin and Samuel B. and Melinda Bowman, both of RR#1, Wallenstein; and Selina Martin of Elmira. Brother-in-law of Lydia Bowman of Listowel; and Lucinda Bowman of Wallenstein. Predeceased by his parents Elias and Rachel Bowman, brothers Josiah and Menno and two in infancy, and a brother-in-law Edward Martin. The family will receive their relatives and friends on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 2-6 p.m. at 6391 Side Road 19, RR#1, Wallenstein where a family service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 9 a.m. with interment and further service to be held at South Peel Mennonite Meeting House, RR#1, Wallenstein. Mother of Lucinda Martin, Clayton (Martha), George (Nancy), all of Wallenstein, Amzie (Sarah) of Listowel, Ivan (Mary) of Drayton, Velina (Edwin) Sauder, Minerva (Sidney) Brubacher, Urias, all of Waterloo, and Clarence (Ruth) of Listowel. Also survived by 38 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sister of Samuel (Malinda) Bowman and Selina Martin, and sister-in-law of Lydia Bowman and Lucinda Bowman. Predeceased by her parents Elias and Rachel (Bowman) Bowman, brothers George (Barbara) Bowman, Josiah Bowman, Menno Bowman, and two brothers in infancy, brother-in-law Edward Martin, and granddaughter Alice Martin. Relatives and friends called at the home, 4450 Manser Rd., RR 1, Wallenstein, on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. and may call on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 1-5 p.m. A family service will be held at the home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 9 a.m. then to Linwood Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
