    Peacefully, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, on Wednesday, April 25, 1990, Clayton Henry Heimpel, age 85 years, of Heidelberg.

    Mr. Heimpel was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville and served on the church council for many years.

    Beloved husband of Doris Heimpel (nee Doerbecker); dear father of Doreen and her husband Earl Jacobi and Bruce and his wife Joy, all of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren, Susan, Linda, Steven, Patti and Jeffrey. Brother of Ervin and his wife Olive of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Heimpel.

    Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday), continuing until noon, Friday, when removal will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

    JACOBI, Doreen Olive (nee Heimpel)

    With deep sadness, the children of Doreen Jacobi announce the passing of their mother at Innisfree House on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the age of 79. Doreen was the precious and much loved mother of Susan and her husband Don Brenner, Linda and her husband Stan Knight and Steven Jacobi and his wife Nancy. She was the cherished Nana of Brianna Doreen Jacobi "the apple of her eye". She was the special Nana of Jessica, James and Michelle Conlon. Doreen is survived by her dearly loved brother Bruce Heimpel (Marge), and his children Pattimarie Wagner (Wayne) and Jeff Heimpel (Nadine) and their families. Also dearly missed by Joy Heimpel. She is survived by her sister-in-law Doreen E. Jacobi and her children, Carol Jacobi and Donna Sargent (Brian) and their families. Left to cherish her memory are her godchildren, many special cousins and countless friends. Doreen was predeceased by her husband and best friend Earl Jacobi (1996) and by her parents Doris (nee Doerbecker) and Clayton Heimpel. Also predeceased by her brother-in-law Walter Jacobi and her father-in-law Clarence Jacobi. Doreen was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Erbsville. She was an active member of the Waterloo Rod and Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary where she catered events for many years. Doreen worked in the cafeteria at Elmira District Secondary School and then later in the cafeteria at Home Hardware in St. Jacobs. After she retired, Doreen spent many happy years living at ValleyView Apartments in St. Jacobs spending her days with friends, playing cards, sharing stories and visiting local theatres and restaurants. Doreen's family offers their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and volunteers at Innisfree House, as well as their gratitude for the generosity of our community, who through their donations make this type of hospice facility possible in our region. Family and friends will be received at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, December 9, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service celebrating Doreen's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Patricia Jackson officiating (Doreen's God Daughter). Cremation will follow.
