    Albrecht.- Elizabeth, daughter of the late Christian and Mary (Lichty) Schmidt, was born at Kingwood, Ont., Mar. 11, 1894; died at Stratford General Hospital, after a short illness, July 13, 1969; aged 75 y. 4 m. 2 d. On Mar. 14, 1916, she was married to George Albrecht, who died Dec. 5, 1963. Surviving are 2 sons (Ervin and John), 3 daughters (Mary-Mrs. Anson Yutzy, Erma-Mrs. Omar Leis, and Emma-Mrs. Albert Lichty), 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one brother (George), and 2 sisters (Susan-Mrs. Jacob Gascho and Clara-Mrs. Noah Wagler). One sister (Mary-Mrs. Jacob Lichty) preceded her in death. She was a member of the Maple View Church, near Wellesley, Ont., where funeral services were held July 16, with Chris 0. Erb and Alvin Leis officiating.

    Mrs. George Albrecht

    Mrs. George Albrecht, 75, died on Sunday of last week at the Stratford General Hospital.

    She was born in Kingwood in 1894, the former Elizabeth Schmidt, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schmidt. She was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley.

    Surviving are two sons, Ervin, RR 2 Wellesley; John S., Kingwood; three daughters, Mrs. Anson (Mary) Iutzi, Wellesley; Mrs. Omar Leis, RR 2, Wellesley; Mrs. Albert (Emma) Lichti, RR 1, Millbank; one brother, George, Aldon, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Jacob (Susan) Gascho, Wellesley, Mrs. Noah (Clara) Wagler, RR 1, Millbank; 17 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

    Funeral service was held on Wednesday at the Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley.

    Burial took place in the church cemetery.

    WELLESLEY - Mrs. Jacob Lichty, 53, North Easthope township, died Sunday night at the K-W Hospital. She was the former Mary Schmidt.
    Born Feb. 17, 1901, in Kingwood she was a daughter of the late Christian Schmidt and former Mary Lichty.

    She married Jacob. Lichty, Feb 15, 1919, in Wellesley and was a member of the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church.

    Surviving are seven sons, Edward, Earl, Allen, all of Kitchener Norman of Wellesley, Jacob of Sarnia, Kenneth and Larry, a home; eight daughters. Mrs. Lloyd (Frieda) Gerber, Crosshill; Mrs Armand (Irene) Shantz of Wellesley, Mrs. Melvin (Edith) Nafziger, of Milverton, Mrs. Reginald (Marie) Goulding and Clara, both of Kitchener, and Helen, Wilma and Emmalene, all at home; one brother, George of Buffalo; three sisters, Mrs. Noah Wagler of Millbank, Mrs. George Albrecht of Kingwood and Mrs. Jacob Gascho of Linwood, and nine grandchildren.

    The body is resting at her home where private service will be conducted Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by public service at 10 a.m. at the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church. Bishop Samuel Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Beloved wife of the late Samuel J. Jantzi (1984). Loving mother of Wayne and his wife Joyce of Wellesley, Myron and his wife Joyce of Wellesley, Ervin Steinmann and his wife Irla of Dashwood and the late Marilyn Steinmann (1992). Dear grandmother of Jason Steinmann (Wendi), Jeremy Steinmann (Tina), Holly (Matt Gelinas), Jesse Jantzi (Amanda), Matt Jantzi (Jessica), Jessica Jantzi, Julianne Jantzi and Daniel Jantzi. Dear great-grandmother of seven. Missed by her sister-in-law Miriam Nafziger. Predeceased by her parents Jacob Gascho and Susan (nee Schmidt) and a brother in infancy. Edna was a member of Crosshill Mennonite Church, enjoyed knitting and spending time with family.     IRENE SHANTZ 1925 - 2009 Irene died peacefully at Lisaard House in Cambridge on Thursday, November 19, 2009. She was 84. Loved mother of Bob and his wife Alison Smiley of Toronto, Jane Humphries of Waterloo and Steven of Phoenix, Arizona. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Cindy, Sarah and her partner Ingvar, Nicholas and his partner Rachel and Vanessa. Irene was predeceased by her husband Armand in February 1989. She was much appreciated by her large family of 14 brothers and sisters. She worked as a cook at Angie's Kitchen, Waterloo, was the owner of the Pennsylvania Kitchen restaurant in Kitchener and was the banquet chef at the Conestogo Inn for many years until her retirement. Family and friends were the fortunate recipients of her excellent cooking. Irene loved the sunshine. With her sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Ron Kelterborn, she lived most of each winter of her retirement in Florida. She and Wilma cherished their long walks on the beach together. Her family wants to thank the staff at Lisaard House for the thoughtful and loving care they gave Irene. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. David Malina officiating. Cremation has taken place. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.     Norman Lichty passed away peacefully at Chartwell Parkhill on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, formerly of Grand Bend at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Kathleen (Berdux) Lichty. Beloved father of Patricia Heipel and her husband Keith of Grand Bend. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Allan and Shirley Lichty, Wilma Kelterborn, Emmeline and John Roes, and Helen Ariss. Predeceased by parents, Jacob and Mary (Schmidt) Lichty, sisters Frieda, Irene, Edith, Marie, and Carol and brothers Edward, Earl, Jake, Ken, and Larry. Norman was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years. He was a true gentleman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. A special thanks to Dr. Lock and the outstanding staff at the Chartwell Parkhill for their amazing care, compassion, and support.

    A memorial service will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Monday, December 9th at 11 AM, with Pastor Nadine Schroeder-Kranz officiating. Cremation with interment Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo at a later date. A Masonic Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:45 AM under the auspices of Wilmot Lodge, No. 318 A.F. & A.M.

    Surrounded by her loving family, Marie passed away peacefully, in her 80th year, on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Columbia Forest Long-Term Care, Waterloo. She was the daughter of Mary and Jacob Lichty; married for 50 years to Reg Gooding, who predeceased her in 1999. Beloved mother of Michael and wife Susan Gooding, Debbie and husband Paul Mustin. Marie was a grateful woman who impressed everyone she met with her warm smile and positive outlook on life. She shared a special love with her granddaughters and a lifelong bond with her sisters, brothers and their families. She was a retiree of Cluett Peabody and long time member of Trinity United Church.     Nafziger, Pauline, daughter of Melvin and Edith (Lichty) Nafziger, was born Sept. 20, 1957; died in a car accident near her home at Topping, Ont., June 10, 1965; aged 7 y. 8 m. 20 d. Surviving are her parents, one sister (Rochelle), her paternal grandfather (David Nafziger), and her maternal grandfather (Jacob Lichty). Funeral services were held at the Maple View Church near Wellesley, Ont., June 13, in charge of Chris Streicher and Alvin Leis.
