On Jan. 8, 1903, she was united in marriage to Joseph L. Leis, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1949. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Ont. She is survived by 8 daughters (Clara-Mrs. Enos Steinman, Baden, Ont.; Catherine-Mrs. Aaron Jehr, Wellesley; Marion-Mrs. Arthur Freund, Kitchener; Alma-Mrs. William Paddon, Guelph; Alice-Mrs. John Hendry; Florence-Mrs. Walter Schack; Verna-Mrs. John Wynosky; Wilma-Mrs. Clifford Schiedel, all of Kitchener), 4 brothers (George, Kingwood; Joel, Tavistock; Christian and Menno, New Dundee), 3 sisters (Mrs. Christian Lebold and Mrs. Daniel Erb, Wellesley, and Mrs. Ezra Boshart, Milverton), 27 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.     GERBER, Norma Arlene (nee Steinmann) February 4, 1930 - December 6, 2009 Peacefully with family at her side, Norma passed away at West Park Manor. With courage and grace, she accepted the gradual physical limitations of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Norma was born in Wellesley, ON. At the age of 11, her family moved to Baden. Here is where she met Stuart Gerber and they were married in 1951. In 1961 they moved to Winnipeg. Norma had a long career at Safeway retiring after more than 25 years in 1993. Norma was a kind and loving person who loved to be with her grandchildren. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren whether it was playing at home, outside or travelling to see them. She always took pleasure in each and every Christmas spending much time with them. Norma enjoyed camping with her family and loved tending to her flower gardens. She enjoyed making ceramics for her family and friends especially when they joined in and worked with her. She also enjoyed bowling for many years with Stuart and friends. Norma will be lovingly and sadly missed by her four children, Bryan (Laurice), Darrell (Sharron), Derrick (Debbie) and Melanie (Larry); her brother John and Clare and sisters Ruth and Irene. Forever cherishing her memories are her eight grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Brent, Breanne, Bryce, Kathleen, Brittany and Tanner. She was predeceased by her husband Stuart, of 50 years, in 2001; her sister Nancy and parents, Enos and Clara Steinmann. The family wishes to thank the staff of West Park Manor for their continual care and compassion over the past four years. In lieu of flowers, donations made may be in her name to West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3R 1X2. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, at 12: 30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow.

    MARY MAGDALENE ZEHR 1924 - 2008 Passed away peacefully, on January 1, 2008 at Cambridge Country Manor, after a brief illness. Loving sister of Stan and Laurene Zehr, Gerry and Betty Zehr, Grace Lizmore, Paul Zehr all of Kitchener and Ginger of West Montrose, Joanne and Doug Grischow of Baden, Ruth Yantzi of Shakespeare, Rhoda and Glen Baechler of Waterloo and sister-in-law, Laurene of Zurich. Will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Aaron and Katie Zehr; brother, Harold Zehr; brother-in-law, Wayne Yantzi and nephew, Parry Zehr. The funeral service will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 12: 45 p.m. Reception to follow.     At St. Mary's Hospital, on Friday, October 24, 2014 John Freund of Kitchener suddenly passed away at 76 years of age. Mr. Freund was a longtime employee of J.M. Schneiders Inc., for 40 years before his retirement in 1996. Beloved husband of Carol (Geach), Kitchener and loving father of James Freund and his wife Julie, both of Kitchener. Dear brother of Wayne Freund and his wife Valerie. Also missed by his in- laws David and Barbara Geach. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Tara and her husband Ryan, Missy and her husband Mike, Greg, Amy, Erica, his two great-grandchildren River and Mason and his niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Marion, his son Michael and his sister Floris and her husband Ron. John's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 2 - 2:45 pm. A celebration of his life will be celebrated in the chapel at 3 pm followed by a reception. A private interment will be held at Bloomingdale Cemetery

    Passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Freeport Campus of Grand River Hospital at the age of 81. Beloved husband of the late Patricia. Loving father of David, James and Mark. Dear brother of Helen, Diane and the late Donald. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

    Bob's family will receive relatives and friends from 12-12:45 p.m. on Monday July 10, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Reception to follow. Cremation has taken place.
    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
