    Mrs. Oscar C Schierholtz, 63, of 843 Frederick St. died Friday after a lengthy illness.

    Born in Woolwich Township, she lived in Kitchener for 12 years prior to her death. The daughter of the late Noah Reist and Mrs. Margaret Reist of Winterbourne, she is also survived by her husband, Oscar C. Schierholtz to whom she was married June 10, 1925, in Elmira.

    Also surviving are one son, Stuart of Breslau; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Dorothy) Lackenbauer of Kitchener and Betty Schierholtz of Kitchener; three brothers, Hilbert of West Montrose, Arthur of Bancroft and Howard of Bloomingdale; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Israel of Conestogo and Mrs. Levi Nicklas of Tavistock, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers.

    The body rested at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Monday when removal was made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, where the service was conducted at 2 p.m. with Rev. R. W. Huras officiating.

    Burial was in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Elmira.

    Aleda married Oscar Carl Schierholtz 10 Jun 1925, Elmira, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. Oscar (son of John W. Schierholtz and Elisabeth Ohliger) was born 22 Dec 1897, Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 13 Apr 1980, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Saint James Lutheran Cemetery, Elmira, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.     SCHIERHOLTZ, STUART Oscar Passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Conestoga Lodge at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Louise (nee MacTavish). Loving father of Gregory (Susan) of Waterloo, Glenn (Tracy) of Alberta, Colleen (Fred) Olbort of Woodstock, Jennifer (Christopher) Secord and Eric (Sheri) all of Waterloo. He will be fondly remembered by his ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Betty Schierholtz of Kitchener and sadly missed by his close friend Joyce Dettweiler of Breslau, he will also be fondly remembered by all his extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Aleda Schierholtz and his sister Dorothy Lackenbauer. He was a member of Breslau Evangelical Missionary Church. Stuart began his career in Dairy Farming and retired as a farm machine mechanic. Stuart's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. where the Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Cremation to take place with a private interment in Breslau Mennonite Cemetery, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
