    Mrs. Fred Luft

    Emma Luft wife of Fred Luft., 109 Mansion street passed away shortly after 6 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the K-W hospital in her 42nd years. Mrs. Luft, a daughter of Mrs. Carl Hiller and the late Mr. Hiller, was born in Kitchener, Nov. 11 1891, and was married to Fred Luft in Jun of 1931. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Aid Society of that church.

    Besides her mother and husband, Mrs. Luft is survived by one son, Donald and one daughter Esther. One sone died infancy. Three brothers and two sisters, Fred, Otto and Edward Hiller, all of Kitchener, Mrs. Herbert Musselman, city, Mrs. Albert Lens, Detroit, Mich., also survive.

    The funeral will be held on Saturday with service at the home, 109 Mansion street, strictly private, and public services at St. Peter's at 3.00 p.m. Burial will be made in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Dr. H. A. Sperling will officiate.

    HILLER, Gordon Walter Philip Went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 24, 2011, at the age of 98. Gordon was predeceased by his loving wife, Helen Hiller of 72 years (December 11, 2009). He will always be lovingly remembered by his children, Joanne Arndt, Mary and Sid Guy, Joseph and Jackie Hiller, Mark and Elaine Hiller, Susan and Don Baker, Joel and Judy Hiller, Helen and Bert Riediger, Mike and Barb Hiller, Elizabeth and Keith Shantz, Stephen and Kathy Hiller, Jane and Stewart Shantz, and Douglas and Marilyn Hiller. Fondly remembered by Charles Arndt, Maria Hiller, Ruth Reynolds, and Sara Klassen. He was a very special Grandpa to forty-two grandchildren and forty-six great-grandchildren. He is survived by one sister-in-law, Doris Hiller. Predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Martha Hiller, brothers, Irvin, Frederick and Harold (in infancy), one sister Helen Forler, two sons, Philip and John Hiller and one grandson, Cory Baker. Gordon worked very hard to provide for his family at Barry Glove, Ball Brothers and the Post Office in Kitchener. Visitation will be held at Wallenstein Bible Chapel, 4522 Herrgott Rd. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Interment in Hawkesville Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2011, followed by the service held at Wallenstein Bible Chapel at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to The Gideon Bible Society, Wallenstein Bible Chapel Building Fund or a charity of your choice.

    FORLER, Helen (nee Hiller)

    Peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2007, at her residence, A. R. Goudie Eventide Home, in her 90th year. Helen was the beloved wife of the late Ed (1991). Devoted mom of Janet (Bob) Tilt, Jim (Debbie), Keith all of Kitchener and Ken (Cynthia) of Hamilton. Loving grandma of Rob (fiance Jess), Dave and Ken Tilt, Josh (Erin) and Christopher Forler and Shawn (Kevin) Pearson and great-grandma of Victoria. Sadly missed by her brother, Gordon (Helen) Hiller of Hawkesville and sister-in-law, Doris Hiller. Predeceased by her parents, Martha and Fred Hiller; brothers, Irvin and Fred Hiller and sister-in-law, Esther Hiller. Mom was truly a treasure and will be forever in our hearts. Relatives and friends will be received at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel (519-742-4481) 51 Benton St. Kitchener on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 26, 2007, from 1 p.m., at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, until the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev.     Obituary of Esther Marie Luft

    January 23, 1926 \endash February 3, 2019

    Esther passed suddenly in her 94th year with family at her side on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Esther Marie Luft of Waterloo, and more recently of Winston Park Retirement, was the daughter of Fred and Emma (Hiller) Luft and step-mom Hilda (Witte) Luft.

    She is predeceased by her brother Donald (Ellen) Luft. Fondly remembered by her nephew Ross (Debbie) Luft and the Hett family especially Bill, Sandra and Thomas who had the distinct pleasure of calling her Aunt Esther and enjoying her company over many years, meals and celebrations.

    Esther was a faithful lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Kitchener, and member of the Lutheran Women's League. She worked for the Lutheran Church in Philadelphia early in her career. Esther returned to K-W and worked in the Social Work Department at Wilfrid Laurier University until her retirement.

    A celebration of Esther's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 with visitation from 11 \endash 11:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service in Funeral Home Chapel at 12 p.m. (noon). A reception in the funeral home's Fireside Room will immediately follow the service.

    HAROLD J. MUSSELMAN

    Funeral service was conducted Tuesday in Miami, Fla., for Harold J. Musselman, 48. who died Friday at his home in Miami. Interment was in Memorial Park cemetery, Miami.

    Born in Kitchener Oct. 17, 1919, he was a son of Mrs. Martha Musselman. Kitchener, and the late Herbert F.Musselman. He was educated in Twin City schools.

    During the Second World War, Mr. Musselman' served as a"captain in the RCAF. After the war he flew commercially for the Royal Dutch Air Lines. He took up residence in Miami on retirement from the air lines.

    Surviving, besides his mother, are two daughters. Patricia and Maureen; one son. John Wayne: one brother, Wayne, Kitchener; and five sisters. Mrs. Fred (Hulda) Becker and Mrs. Carl (Marjorie) Hartwig and Audrey, all of Kitchener: Mrs. Norman (Verna) Hill. New Hamburg, and Mrs. Norman (Jean) Nuhn. Bridgeport.

    Keith passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Thursday, January 24th, 2008, at the age of 52 years, 7 months and 27 days. He remained a Bachelor all his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward Forler (1991) and Helen nee Hiller (2007). Keith was survived by his sister Janet (Bob) Tilt; his brother Jim Forler & his twin brother Ken Forler. Keith enjoyed a lengthy career as a hairstylist. Cremation has taken place with a family interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener later in the spring.
