    Jewitt, Viola May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ananias Shantz, was born at Kitchener, Ont., July 27, 1900; died at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, June 15, 1964; aged 63 y. 10 m. 19 d. She was married to Edwin W. Jewitt, Preston, Ont., who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Howard E., Clayton W., and Ervin R.), 5 daughters (Florence, Barbara - Mrs. Murray Raddatz, Edith - Mrs. Harold Sider, Mildred, and Shirley), one brother (Veloras B.), one stepbrother (Bert Rodger), 2 sisters (Velma - Mrs. Earl Snider and Vietta - Mrs. Elmer Gerber), and 12 grandchildren. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, where memorial services were held June 18, conducted by C. F. Derstine and Howard Good.

    ROGERS, Bert

    At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1983, aged 70 years, Bert Rogers, of 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge. Served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War and a retired salesman with Washburn's Men's Wear, now Paul Puncher Men's Clothier. Son of the late Athleen Stover and Ananis Shantz; husband of the former Hazel Brown; father of Linda (Mrs. Plomin) and Brian James, both of Kitchener. Also survived by one sister, Vietta (Mrs. Stover) of Waterloo and three grandchildren. Laura, Bonnie, and Charles. Predeceased by two sisters, Viola and Velma and one brother, Velores. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Convenant Chapel at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Friday, Jan. 14, 1983, at 2 p.m., Rev. J. Bigelow officiating.

    MARTIN, Ethleen "Pee Wee" At K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, age 77. Beloved wife of Floyd Martin, "Butch." Much loved mother of Kelly and grandmother of Kristie (Jon) and Paul. Pee Wee was predeceased by her mother Vietta, sister Doreen, and brother Stewart. Also sadly missed by Doug Hallman of Kitchener and Susan Fernandas of Florida. Pee Wee was known as the voice of Uniroyal Chemical of Elmira for 45 years. Upon retiring, she became owner of Kelly's Classic Touch for an additional 15 years. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Friday, January 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service celebrating Pee Wee's life will take place in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Catherine Hunsberger officiating. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home at 519-888-7700.
