    EDMUND SHANTZ

    Edmund Shantz, 66, died at his residence, Waterloo following a short illness. A native of Bloomingdale, he was a son of the late Noah Shantz and. Rachel C. Shantz, stable foreman at Silverwood's Dairy. Mr. Shantz made his home in Kitchener for the past 40 years. He attended the Evangelical church. He was an enthusiastic curler and bowler. His wife, formerly Mary Etta Gimbel, died 11 years ago.

    Surviving are two sons, Lorne, at home and Pte. Walter, overseas with the No. 1 C.O.R.U.; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Meyer and Mrs. Albert Schmidt, Waterloo, Mrs. Edward Cole, Capdela-Madleine, Que., and Mrs. Edward Arris, Vancouver; also three brothers, Elah, Didsbury, Alberta, Dan, Elmira and Maurice, Calgary, and nine grandchildren.

    Predeceased by her husband Gerald Bauer (2009), her daughter Karen McAllister (2009), and her grandson Gregory James Bauer (2013 - Memorial # 127018796).

    Survived by her children, Gayle Martin (Douglas) of Kitchener, Philip (Helga) of Calgary and Laurie Venton (Mark) of Bradford. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 7 spouses of grandchildren, 10 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter.

    Remembered by her sister Jeanne Carroll (Robert), son-in-law Ross McAllister (Sally) and sister-in-law June Moyer.

    Also predeceased by her parents Frederick and Laura Moyer, brothers James and Robert Moyer and sister Gloria Cressman (Orville).

    Muriel was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Waterloo for more than 75 years.

    Visitation was held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday June 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb St W, Waterloo on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. Pastor Robert Snell officiated. Reception followed in the Church Hall.

    BAUER, Muriel Colleen 1924 - 2016 Passed into the presence of her Lord Jesus, at the age of 91 years, on Friday, June 10, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital. Muriel was predeceased by her loving husband Gerald Bauer (2009), by her daughter Karen McAllister (2009), and her grandson Gregory Bauer (2013). Dear mother of Gayle and her husband Douglas Martin of Kitchener, Philip and his wife Helga of Calgary and Laurie and her husband Mark Venton of Bradford. Muriel will be sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren, 7 spouses of grandchildren, her 10 great-grandsons and one great-grand- daughter. Fondly remembered by her sister Jeanne Carroll and her husband Robert, her son-in-law Ross McAllister and his wife Sally and her sister-in-law June Moyer. Also predeceased by her parents Frederick and Laura Moyer and brothers James and Robert Moyer and sister Gloria Cressman (Orville).     MOYER, Robert William (Bob) - Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 5, 2006 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of June (nee Hiller) Moyer for 55 years. Loving father of Elizabeth (Beth) Brubacher and her husband Murray of B.C., Patricia (Pat) Reesor and her husband John of Peterborough, Jeanette McNeill and her husband John of Scarborough, Julie Moyer of Peterborough and Terri Schulz and her husband Eric of North York. Brother-in-law of Betty Hiller of Waterloo. Brother of Gloria Cressman of Kitchener, Muriel Bauer and her husband Gerry of Waterloo, Jeanne Carroll and her husband Bob of Barrie. Predeceased by parents, Frederick and Laura (nee Shantz) Moyer and his younger brother, Jim (1959). Bob will be greatly missed by his 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bob lived his entire life in the K-W area and was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. Bob will be remembered as an avid fisherman, a loving family man, a man rich in friendships, a devoted follower of Jesus and a man who celebrated and embraced life with passion. Bob's life will be celebrated by a memorial service in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener (519-749-8476) on Wed. Oct. 11, 2006 at 1 p.m. Pastor John McNeill (Bob's son-in-law) officiating.
