B. SHONTZ DIES FROM STROKE OF APOPLEXY

B. Shontz, father of Mrs. Frank Crowther, Mrs. Frank Crighton and Mrs. F. E. Price, all of this city, suffered a stroke of apoplexy Wednesday night at the home of Mr. Crowther, where he makes his home. It was not discovered until yesterday morning, when an investigation was made to ascertain why he did not rise at his usual hour. He was found in his bed unconscious, and yesterday morning the physician could not tell if there was a chance for recovery. Since the above was written, Mr. Shontz passed away without regaining consciousness. His death came so sudden that it greatly shocked all who knew him. On Wednesday he had gone to a physician, who had warned him that he was threatened by apoplexy and he was preparing to take precautions against it. He had lived here about five years and owned one of the best fruit ranches in the valley. His body will be held until Sunday so that relatives may arrive.

Of ) ORDER CONFIRMING SALE OF
Minnie Crighton, Deceased) REAL ESTATE.

P. F. Rieger, administrator of the estate of Minnie Crighton, deceased having made and returned to this Court, and filed in the office of the Clerk thereof, his return of his proceedings under the order of sale herein, and said matter coming on regularly this day to be heard, and it having been presented to the Court, that in pursuance to said order, and as ordered by the Court, the Clerk of this Court caused notice of the time and place of hearing said sale to be posted up in three of the most public places in the city and county of Payette, state of Idaho, in which the lands ordered to be sold is situate, and it being published in the Payette Enterprise, a newspaper published and of general circulation in the said city and county, in three successive issues, next before such sale, in which order of sale and notice, the lands and tenements to be sold were described with common certainty, as follows, to-wit:

Lot seventeen (17) of Block Two (2) of Gorrie's Addition to the city of Payette, as shown on the official plat thereof on file in the office of the County Recorder of Payette County, Idaho.

That at such sale Robert M. Keith became the purchaser of said real estate for the sum of Ten Thousand two hundred ($10,200.00) dollars, and being the highest and best bidder and said sum being the highest and best sum bid, and all and singularly the law and the premises, being by the Court seen, heard, understood and fully considered, WHEREFORE, it is by the Court, ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED, that said sale be and the same is hereby confirmed and approved and the proper and legal conveyances of said real estate are hereby directed to be executed to said purchaser by said administrator.

"In Los Angeles, California, lives Orfa Jean Shontz, one of the best known women lawyers of the Pacific Coast. Orfa Jean is the daughter of Benjamin Shantz, oldest son of David Shantz, who, with his brother Bishop Henry Shantz, lived at Plattsville in Waterloo County, Ontario. Miss Shontz was, at one time, assistant judge of the Juvenile Court of the City of Los Angeles in charge of delinquent girls. During her term of office she tried over 3000 cases with no reversals of opinion or decision from higher courts. That record alone is an enviable one.Miss Shontz was born at Correctionville, Iowa, and her father was, for some years, jailer of the city of Council Bluffs, Iowa."
