EHRAT, Mrs. Eva Lenora - Of 145 MacGregor Cres., Waterloo, on Sunday, Sept. 22, 1985, at K-W Hospital, Kitchener, the former Eva Forler, formerly of Philipsburg, where she was born 76 years ago.
Daughter of the late Conrad L. Forler and the former Ella Doering.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran church, Philipsburg, where she had been church organist for 55 years and had been involved n the choir and was a former member of the LCW; was a member of the Canadian Order of foresters; also a member of the New Dundee Senior Citizens.
Beloved wife of John Ehrat, who predeceased her February 24, 1985. Lovingly remembered by her children, Ron and his wife Helen of RR2, Baden, Sheila and her husband Grant McLaughlin of Waterloo; sadly missed by her grandchildren, Christine Ehrat, Kathryn Skowron, Michael and Susan McLaughlin; dear sister-in-law of Mrs. Alma Forler and John Leu.
Eva was also predeceased by one son in infancy; two brothers, Clarence and Theodore and one sister, Mrs. Almeda Leu.
Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 pm this evening and until Wednesday morning at 8: 30 am, when transfer will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, for service at 10 am, with rev. D. Kranz officiating. Interment to follow n the church cemetery.

Recipes:
Frigidare Cake
A)
2 1/2 cups graham wafers, rolled fine
1/2 cup soft butter
Mix together, press into a greased pan and bake slowly 15 minutes then cool.
B)
Cream together:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
Add 2 eggs, beat until thick, like custard. Pour ever baked cake.
C)
1/2 pt. sweet whipped cream
Fold in 1 tin crushed pineapple (drained) and put on top of cake, sprinkle with graham crumbs or nuts.
Keep in Frigidaire until ready to use.
Scones
3 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup shortening
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons B.P.
1 cup sweet milk
Raisins
Mix like pie dough
Salt according to taste, roll out and bake.
Historic Building:
The present brick edifice was constructed in 1929 by Conrad Forler, assisted by members of the congregation, at a cost of $15,000. The pipe organ, installed in the original church in 1887 at a cost of $800, was moved over into the new church. Mrs. Eva Ehrat, the contractor's daughter, is the church organist, a position she has held for the past 37 years.1a
