HOERLE, HEROLD HENRY

Herold Henry Hoerle, 54, of R.R. 1, St. Agatha, died suddenly Thursday, June 11, at his home. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoerle, he was born June 14, 1909, in the Township of Wilmot and had farmed near St. Agatha all his life. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, St. Agatha. He is survived by his wife the former Marjorie Weber, to whom he was married September 6, 1937, at Phillipsburg, and one daughter, Mrs. Helmut (Gloria) Ristau, of St. Agatha. The body rested at the Ratz Bechtel funeral home, in Kitchener, until noon Monday, when removal was made to Zion Lutheran Church, St. Agatha, where Rev. E. S. Oleson, of Wellesley, conducted the funeral at 2:30 p.m. Burial was in St. Agatha Lutheran cemetery.

Herold married Marjorie Weber 6 Sep 1937. Marjorie (daughter of Eli Weber and Alice Heuckroth) was born 1916, Philipsburg, Wilmot Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 26 Sep 2011, St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery, St. Jacobs, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried , Zion Lutheran Cemetery, St. Agatha, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada. RISTAU, Gloria Luella (nee Hoerle) Passed away on May 8, 2014 at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 72. Beloved wife of 52 years to Helmut. Loving mother to David (Deb) and Linda (Grant). Cherished grandma to Jake, Mark and Nicolas. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Marjorie (nee Weber) Hoerle. Friends are invited to share their memories of Gloria with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 4: 00 p.m. Pastor David Hammer officiating. A light reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room. Private family interment will take place at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, St. Agatha at a later date.
