    Shantz, Angeline, daughter of Henry and Maryann Snider, was born near Elmira, Ont., April 23, 1876; died in the hospital near Guernsey, Sask., Jan. 22, 1952; aged 75 y. 8 m. 30 d. In 1906 she was united in marriage to Henry Cyrenas Shantz, who survives her. Also surviving are 4 sons (Wesley, Arthur, and Lincoln, all of Guernsey, and Leonard, Elmira, Ont.), 2 daughters (Eileen-Mrs. Harold Biehn, and Olive-Mrs. Clair Biehn, both of Guernsey, Sask.), and 27 grandchildren. One son (Daniel) predeceased her in his infancy. In 1907 she and her husband moved to Aldersyde, Alta., where all the children were born. In 1929, the family moved to Guernsey, Sask., where they have resided ever since. She was a member of the Mennonite Church since her youth, and her consistent life was a gracious testimony to her Christian faith. Funeral services were held at the Sharon Mennonite Church Jan. 25 in charge of Howard M. Snider and Stanley D. Shantz. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    Biehn.- Eileen Shantz, daughter of Henry C. and Angeline (Snider) Shantz, was born at Aldersyde, Alta., Apr. 19, 1908; died of heart and lung failure at her home in Listowel, Ont., Apr. 21, 1987; aged 79 y.

    On Dec. 25, 1930, she was married to Harold Biehn, who survives Also surviving are 4 children (Maynard, Myra Brunk, Ruby Schellenberg, and Elvern), 8 grandchildren, one brother (Lincoln), and one sister (Olive Biehn). She was preceded in death by one child and 4 brothers (Wesley, Arthur, Leonard, and Daniel). She was a member of ; Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, where funeral services were held on Apr. 25, in charge of Leighton Martin and Edgar Frey; interment in Hillside Cemetery.

    Shantz, Leonard, son of Henry and Angeline (Snider) Shantz, was born in High River, Alta., Aug. 18, 1915; died of a heart attack at Elmira, Ont., Oct. 27, 1980; aged 65 y. On June 22, 1940, he was married to Leona Gingrich, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons (Clinton, Mark, and Dale), 3 daughters (Janet Quartel, Linda Shoemaker, and Elaine Shantz), 2 sisters (Eileen Biehn, and Olive Biehn), and 2 brothers (Arthur and Lincoln). He was a member of Elmira Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct. 30, in charge of Doug Snyder and Gary Knarr; interment in Elmira Mennonite Church Cemetery.

    ELVERN BIEHN OBITUARY

    Passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 30, 2022. Elvern Biehn of Millbank in his 77th year.

    Beloved husband of Ruth Anne (nee Gerber) who he married April 16, 1971. Dear father of Trevor & Lesley Biehn of Stratford, Jason Biehn & Sharon Hovestadt of Toronto/Brantford and Josalyn & Gerrit Hagen of Hamilton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Katelyn, Evan, Elijah, Jeremiah, Levi, Justice, Grayson, Joel, Micah and Jaeda. He is survived by his sisters Myra Brunk of Millbank, Ruby & Karl Regier of Saskatchewan, by brothers and sisters-in-law Grace Biehn of Stratford, Marlene & Mel Lichty of Stratford, Gary Gerber of Calgary, Betty Gilchrist & Dale Wood of Waterloo, Jamie & Karen Gerber of Wellesley.

    Predeceased by his parents Harold & Eileen (Shantz) Biehn, brother Maynard Biehn, brothers-in-law Don Brunk and Andrew Gerber, sister-in-law Sandra Gerber and mother and father-in-law Steve & Edna Gerber.

    Relatives and friends will be received at the Milverton Christian Fellowship, 6619 Perth Rd. 131 Milverton on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be conducted in the Milverton Christian Fellowship on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 11:00am. Reception to follow in the Church hall followed by burial in Rushes Cemetery.

    SHOEMAKER, Linda Joy Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Linda (Shantz) Shoemaker, age of 62 years, of Elmira. Beloved wife and best friend of Stuart Shoemaker for 43 years. Dear mother of Dean and Victoria Shoemaker of Guelph, Heather and David French of Elmira. Loving grandma of Koron and Maya Shoemaker, and Ryan French. Daughter of Leona Thomson of Elmira and the late Leonard Shantz. Sister of Clinton and Phyllis Shantz of North Port, Florida, Janet Shantz and Gail Myhr of Montreal, Elaine and Dale Shantz of Wellesley, Mark Shantz of Nanaimo, BC, and Dale Shantz of London. Linda is lovingly remembered by the Hugh Thomson family and by her many nieces, nephews and their families. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Thursday, January 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family interment has taken place in the Elmira Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at the Elmira Mennonite Church on Friday, January 20th at 2 p.m. with Pastor Steven Janzen and Pastor Fred Lichti officiating. A special thanks to all the nurses, staff and to Drs. Fatima and Shahi on 5D South for the compassion and care given to Linda.
