    Notes:

    Martin M. Bauman, of Wallenstein, 63, died suddenly Wednesday of last week at the K-W Hospital. He suffered a stroke the previous night. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bauman and was born in Woolwich Township March 30, 1897. In 1920 he married Rebecca Martin, who survives. Mr. Bauman was a member of Hawkesville Gospel Hall. Also surviving are three sons, Addison and James of Wallenstein, and Adin of Medicine Hat, Alt.; two daughters, Mrs. Reinheart (Alma) Frede of Wallenstein and Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Martin of Heidelberg, four brothers, Urias of Hawkesville, Henry of Elmira, Noah of Wallenstein and David of RR 1 Waterloo, two sisters, Mrs. Israel Hoffman of RR 1, Waterloo and Mrs. David Hoffman of Heidelberg and 18 grandchildren. Four sisters and two brothers predeceased him. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, until 5 p.m. on Friday when removal was made to the Bauman home for the funeral at 1 p.m. Saturday. A private service was held at the home. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.

    MARTIN, Onias B. - On Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at Palmerston and District Hospital, Onias went peacefully home to be with the Lord. Onias B. Martin, in his 83rd year. Beloved and faithful husband of Emma (Gerber) Martin for 43 years. Loving father of Verden and Carolyn Martin of Drayton, Yvonne and Ayman Al Zanoun of Bahrain. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Jon, Jeff, Matthew and Trevor Martin, Sami and Katherine Al Zanoun. In his memory donations to the Palliative Care Unit Palmerston and District Hospital or New Tribes Mission would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The family would especially like to recognize the efforts and facilities of the Palliative Care Unit at Palmerston and District Hospital where Dad's final hours were spent in very competent and attentive care. Special thanks to family and friends for their support and presence over the past few weeks.

Predeceased by her parents Ezra and Louisa (Bauman) Martin, sisters Adeline Martin and Elmina Brubacher, and brothers Onias, Leander and Milton. Maryann's love for her Saviour was reflected in her gentle and loving spirit through her service to others. Whether it was raising her large family, serving at church, or assisting fellow residents at Chateau Gardens she did so quietly and faithfully. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family will receive their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Wednesday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Woodside Bible Fellowship on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at 1 p.m. followed by interment in Hawkesville Cemetery. Reflecting Maryann's passion and involvement with children, donations to Woodside Bible Fellowship Children's Programs or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated

    Wayne B. Martin of Waterloo, born March 7, 1932 in St. Jacobs, "walked his last mile of the way" and went to be with his dear Saviour on Monday, April 20, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Naomi (Shantz) Martin. They shared more than 65 years together. Dad was also known as "Fairway Wayne" or "Savant Wayne". Loving father of Lucille (Leonard Weber) of West Montrose, Myrna (Art Bauman) of Kitchener, Shirley (Wilbur Miller) of Columbus, OH, Gary Martin (Patti Hiltz) of Kitchener, Judy (Fred Martin) of West Montrose, and Janet (Dale Horst) of Waterloo. Dear grandfather of 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Wayne is survived by siblings Lovina Ruttan (Leo, 2005) of Fordwich, Mervin Martin (Alma) of Listowel, and Anson Martin (Sharon) of Stratford. Also survived by in-laws Alice Shantz (Vernon, 2008), Ollie and Elsie Shantz, Orvie and Mary Shantz, and Erma Martin (Milton, 1998).
