    Isiah son of the late Cyrus B. amd Mary (Horst) Cressman, died at his home near Kitchener, Dec. 19, 1942; aged 66 y. 8 m. 17 d. He was born on the "Cressman homestead" on which farm he resided practically his entire lifetime. March 14, 1900, he was united in marriage to Magdalena Shirk. He is survived by his wife, 7 daughters (Vera of Kitchener, Una a missionary in the Argentine Republic of South America, Cora of Kitchener, Leona at home, Mrs. Alfred High of Vineland, Mabel and Edith of Kitchener), and 6 sons (Leander of Pierre Point, N. Y.; Ferman at home; Clifford of Vancouver Island; Harold of New Hamburg; Elton of Kitchener; and Clayton at home). Two sisters and 3 brothers also survive (Mrs. Enoch Bauman of Drayton; Mrs. Lloyd Shantz of Carstairs, Alta.; Noah of Breslau; Levi of Preston; and Allan of Guernsey, Sask.). He was predeceased by 2 daughters (Mary and Pearl), also 2 sisters and 1 brother (Magdalena in December, 1939, Mrs. Jacob Cressman in November, 1937, and John Cressman in April, 1941). Bro. Cressman united with the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Jan. 1, 1900. For many years he served in the capacity of the local director of Mennonite Fire Aid Association and rendered good service. Services and burial were conducted at First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, in charge of Bro. C. F. Derstine. Bros. Merle Shantz and S. F. Coffman assisted in the services.     SHANTZ, Mabel (nee Cressman) - Passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in her 94th year. The daughter of Isaiah Cressman and Magdalena Shirk, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clayton Shantz, in 2004, whom she had married in 1997. Mabel was also predeceased by her brothers, Leander, Ferhman, Clifford, Harold, Elton and Clayton Cressman and by her sisters, Vera (Simeon) Weaver, Una, Mary, Cora, Pearl and Leona Cressman, and Olive (Alfred) High. She is survived by her sister, Edith (Lloyd) Woolner; her step-children, Carol and Ernie Martin, Ray and Marlene Shantz, Dianne and Doug Roeder and Lynn and Al Stager; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Visitation will take place at Fairview Mennonite Home, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, on Saturday, September 13, 2008 from 2 until 4 in the afternoon and 7 until 9 in the evening. A graveside service will be held at Shantz Mennonite Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 15th, 2008. A memorial service to commemorate Mabel's life will be held in the auditorium of Fairview Mennonite Home on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 3 p.m. To remember Mabel, donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or to the charity of your choice and may be arranged by contacting Westmount Funeral Chapel at (519) 743-8900.     Woolner, Edith - Peacefully slipped away surrounded by her family, at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at the age of 93 years. Edith was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd (1979). She is survived and dearly remembered by her children, Mary Ann Ropp (Norm) and Robert Woolner (Dale); grandchildren, Darren Ropp (Misty), Andrew Woolner (Kumiko) and Emily Lalonde (Jeremy); as well as her great-grandson, Ephraim LaLonde. Edith is also remembered by many nieces and nephews of whom she was fond. Edith was the last remaining member of the Isaiah Cressman and Magdalena Shirk Family. Honoring Edith's personal wishes, there will be no visitation. Interment will take place at First Mennonite Cemetery, Kitchener, on Friday, October 16 at 11 a.m. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Fairview Mennonite Home, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge, on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m. Condolences for the family and donations to the Fairview Residents' Council of Fairview Mennonite Home or to a charity of your choice may be arranged through the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo. The family is grateful to the staff of Fairview Mennonite Home for their many years of kind and dedicated care given to Edith. In living memory of Edith, a donation will be made to the Trees for Learning Program by the funeral home.

Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday from 6: 30 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at First Mennonite Church, 800 King St. E., Kitchener, on Friday, September 30, 2005, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gary Knarr officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.     Cressman, Elton Shirk, son of the late Isaiah and Magdalena (Shirk) Cressman, was born near Kitchener, Ont., Mar. 20, 1921; died Dec. 8, 1968, as the result of a train-car accident as he was on his way to church; aged 47 y. 8 m. 18 d. On Apr. 19, 1947, he was married to Anna Shantz, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Maynard Elton and Myron Laverne), 5 brothers (Leander, Ferhman, Clifford, Harold, and Clayton), and 7 sisters (Vera - Mrs. Simeon Weaver, Olive - Mrs. Alfred High, Edith - Mrs. Lloyd Woolner, Leona, Una, Mabel, and Cora). Funeral services were held at the Berea Church, Dec. 11, with Elvon Burkholder and Elmer Grove officiating.
