Cressman. --- Urias, youngest son of the late Menno and Lydia (Martin) Cressman, was born May 31, 1867; died March 11, 1940, in his 73rd year. In 1898, he was united in marriage to Melinda Martin, who predeceased him Dec. 25, 1922. This union was blessed with 3 children (Harvey, at home; Eden, of St. Jacobs; and Sylvia, who died in infancy). There also remain 3 grandchildren and 2 sisters (Mrs. James Moyer of Vineland, Ont.; and Mrs. Moses M. Brubacher of St. Jacobs, Ont.). He was born and resided continuously on the old homestead in Southwest Wilmot, Ont., his late home. Death came very suddenly. He was feeling slightly ill when he retired but was not considered serious. About midnight he seemed quite well, but before morning the spirit took its flight. As a young man he accepted Christ as his Saviour and united with the Mennonite Church, in which faith he died. Funeral services were held on March 13 at the home and at Bean's Mennonite Church by the Brethren Manasseh Hallman and Moses H. Roth. Text, Amos 4: 12-"Prepare to meet thy God." Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Cressman, Eden M., son of Urias and Melinda (Martin) Cressman, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Mar. 10, 1904; died of heart failure at his home in Elmira, Ont., Dec. 29, 1975; aged 71 y. On Sept. 14, 1927, he was married to Laura Dettwiler, who survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters (Naomi - Mrs. Milton Shoemaker, Mary - Mrs. Marshall Musselman, and Violet - Mrs. Lloyd Martin), one son (Calvin), and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter (Beatrice) and one brother (Harvey). He was a member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 31, in charge of Glenn Brubacher and Vernon Leis; interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery.

EDEN CRESSMAN

On Monday, Dec. 29, 1975, at his home, 54 Church St. W., Elmira, in his 72^nd year.

Beloved husband of Laura Dettwiler; dear father of Mrs. Milton (Naomi) Shoemaker of Route 1, Elmira, Mrs. Marshall (Mary) Musselman of Route 2, Elmira; Mrs. Lloyd (Violet) Marvin and Calvin, both of Elmira; 16 grandchildren also survive; he was predeceased by his parents, one daughter in infancy and one brother.

Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Wednesday morning at 11 a.m., when removal will be made to St. Jacobs Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2:30 p.m

Burial in St. Jacobs Mennonite cemetery.

Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation will be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

LANG, Anson - Passed away peacefully at The Village of Winston Park, Kitchener at the age of 91 on February 4, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Betty Lang. Survived by his sister, Thelma Zlateff of Kitchener. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Myrtle Koch of Waterloo and by his nephews, David (Peggy) Morrow of Waterloo, Robert (Karon) Morrow of St. Jacobs, Cameron Koch of Philadelphia, Douglas (Maureen) Koch of Victoria B.C. and his niece, Carol Elliot of Waterloo. Predeceased by his parents, Fred and Edna (Zinn) Lang. Brothers-in-law, Earl (Mildred) Morrow, Claude Koch and John Zlateff. Anson was a longtime employee of the New Dundee Creamery for over 46 years, he was a member of the New Dundee Board of Trade and the New Dundee Baptist Church. Anson also played in the New Dundee Band and Volunteered with the Fire Dept. for a number of years. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, a reception will follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Cressman. - Beatrice Faith, beloved little daughter of Eden and Laura (Dettwiler) Cressman died Nov. 30, 1934; aged 4 m. 2 d. Beatrice was never very robust, but was sick only two days with pneumonia. She leaves her sorrowing parents, 3 sisters (Naomi Loretta, Mary Elinor, and Violet Arletta), 3 grandparents, and many other friends. The funeral was held Dec. 2 from her home to the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church for services, Bro. Moses Brubacher and Bro. Curtis Cressman having charge. Interment in the Conestoga Cemetery.
