    MARTIN, Daniel R. - Peacefully, on Sunday, April 26, 2009, at his home, RR 1, West Montrose. Daniel R. Martin, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Lydian (Weber) Martin for 62 years. Father of Emanuel Martin, Onias and Melinda Martin, Ivan and Barbara Martin, all of RR 1, West Montrose. Seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Brother of Leander and Elvina Martin, Joshua and Lizzie Martin, George and Veronica Martin, Ira and Lena Martin, Cyrus and Alice Martin and Lydian Martin. Predeceased by his parents, Cyrus and Melinda Martin, two daughters, one son and two grandchildren all in infancy. Friends may call at his home, RR 1, West Montrose, today (Monday) from 3-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9-11 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning, April 29 at 9 a.m., then to the Winterbourne Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.

    MARTIN, Ira

    Ira R. Martin of RR#1 Wingham, died peacefully at his home on Monday, October 28, 2013, at the age of 78. Ira was the husband of Lena Martin. Father of Irene Martin, Elam and Barbara Martin of RR#1 Wingham, Mary and Menno W. Hoover of RR#1 Bluevale, Martha and Josiah Bauman of RR#1 Bruce Mines, Levi and Susie Martin of RR#1 Wingham and Salema and Stephen Martin of RR#1 Wroxeter. Also survived by his four brothers - Leander, Joshua, George and Cyrus Martin, his sister Lydian Martin, his 29 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Salema (Brubacher) Martin, two sons and one brother. Viewing to be at his residence from 6: 00 to 8: 00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 and 8: 30 to 11: 00 a.m. and 1: 00 to 4: 00 p.m. (Standard Time) on Wednesday, October 30. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, October 31 at 8: 30 a.m. EST from Ira's home, thence to the Wroxeter Orthodox Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further services. Schimanski Family Funeral Home (519-335-6510) entrusted with the arrangements.
