One son died in 1917, and 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren also preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, where funeral services were conducted on Oct. 3, in charge of Edgar Metzler; interment in St. Agatha A.M. Cemetery.

Mrs. Magdalena Boshart, a native of Wilmot township, died last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Witmer, Hespeler, at the age of 91 years, following a short illness. She was the former Magdalena Gerber and was born April 9, 1868, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gerber. Her husband, Jonas Boshart, predeceased her in 1939. Survivors include five sons, John of Watertown, N.Y., Menno of Kitchener, Simon of Lowville, N.Y., Aaron of Wellesley, Gideon of Baden; six daughters, Mrs. Witmer, Mrs. Moses (Netta) Gingerich of Glenfield, N.Y., Miss Mary, Mrs. Ezra (Lily) Brenneman and Mrs. Eldon (Lauretta) Witmer of Kitchener, Mrs. Clarence (Luella) Erb of Sebringville; five great, great-grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren and 39 grandchildren. One son, Moses, died in 1917. Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren predeceased her. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon with service at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, of which the departed was a member. Rev. Edgar Metzler officiated and internment was in the St. Agatha A. M. cemetery.

HESPELER - Mrs. Magdalena Boshart, 91, of Hespeler, a great-great-grandmother of five, grandmother of 88, grandmother of 48, and mother of six sons and six daughters, died yesterday. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward (Elmina) Witmer of 28 Bella St., Hespeler. Born April 9, 1868, in Wilmot Township, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gerber. She was a member of First Mennonite Church. Her husband, Jonas Boshart, died in 1939. Survivors include five sons, John of Watertown, N.Y., Menno of Kitchener, Simon of Lowville, N.Y., Aaron of Wellesley, Gideon of Baden; six daughters, Mrs. Witmer, Mrs. Moses (Netta) Gingerich of Glenfield N.Y., Miss Mary, Mrs. Ezra (Lily) Brenneman and Mrs. Eldon (Lauretta) Witmer of Kitchener, Mrs. Clarence (Luella) Erb of Sebringville; five great-great-grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 39 grandchildren. One son, Moses, died in 1917. Eight grandchildren predeceased her. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, until Saturday noon when removal will be made to the church for funeral at 3 p.m. Rev. Edgar Metzler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Agatha Amish Mennonite Cemetery. Donations to the Gideons will be accepted as expressions of Sympathy.

LOWVILLE Mrs. Nettie Gingerich, 82, Lowville. widow of Mose Gingerich, died Friday morning at 3 in the Lewis County General Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been a patient in the Extended Care Facility for three years prior to entering the hospital. Fel 25 1977
The funeral will be Sunday afternoon at 1 at the Virkler Funeral Home and at 2 in the Croghan Mennonite Church with Rev. Ronald Gates, pastor of the Castorland Baptist Church.assisted by Rev. Elmer Moser, pastor of the Naumburg Mennonite Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Croghan Mennonite Church Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are this evening 7 to 9 and Saturday 2 to
4 and 7 to 9.
Mrs. Gingerich is survived by four sons, Clifford and Vernon, Mexico, Gordon, Watertown and Howard, Constableville; three
daughters, Mrs. Malcolm (Reta) Western, Lowville, Mrs. Harold (Alice) Moshier, Beaver Falls, and Mrs. Richard (Frances) Burlinghame, Castorland; two brothers, Menno Boshart, Kitchener, Ont., and Aaron Boshart. Wellesley, Ont.; five sisters, Mrs. Lillie Brenneman, Kitchener, Ont.. Miss Mary Boshart, New Hamburg, Ont., Mrs. Louella Erb, Stratford. Ont.. Mrs. Edward (Elmina) Witmer, and Mrs. Eldon (Lauretta) Witmer," both of Kitchener, Ontario; 28 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Violet) Bast, died before her. Four brothers, Simon, John, Moses and Gideon Boshart also died before her.
She was born at Wellesley, Ont., Aug. 29, 1894, daughter of Jonas and Magdalena Gerber Boshart and on July 22, 1913 she married Moses Gingerich in Baden, Ont. The couple. came to the United States. in 1924 and operated a farm near Harrisburg.
For many years Mrs. Gingerich worked for the Lowville Laundry and later worked for Beaverite Products. Glenfield. for 12
years. Mr. Gingerich died Oct. 8, 1960, and following his death Mrs. Gingerich resided on Shady Avenue, Lowville. Seven years ago she went to live with her daughter, Frances, in Castorland
Mrs. Gingerich was a member of the Castorland Baptist Church..

Aaron Boshart of 48 Henry St. E. Wellesley, died on Tuesday, July 3, 1990, at St. Mary's General Hospital. Aaron was born in Wilmot Township, 86 years ago, the son of the late Jonas Boshart and the late Magdalena Gerber. He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wellesley. He is survived by children Lincoln and his wife Grace, Delores and her husband William Parrott and Patricia and her husband George Poetker. He is also survived by a brother, Menno Boshart of Kitchener, Elmina (Mrs. Edward Witmer) of St. George, and Loretta (Mrs. Eldon Witmer) of Kitchener. Interment will be in the St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.

Boshart, Aaron - Peacefully,on Tuesday, July 3, 1990, after a brief illness, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Aaron Boshart, of 48 Henry ST. E., Wellesley. Aaron was born in Wilmot Township [birth records says Wellesley] 86 years ago, the son of the late Jonas Boshart and the late Magdalena Gerber. He was a faithful member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wellesley. Also active with the Wellesley Jolly Oldsters; past member of the Nithburg Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid sportsman; was coach and general manager of the Wellesley Merchant's Ball Club for many years; also employed by J.M. Schneider Inc. for 24 years, retiring in 1970. Cherished and beloved husband of Marian Miller (Boshart) of Wellesley; beloved father of Lincoln and his wife Grace of Kitchener, Delores and her husband William Parrott of Glace Bay, N.S. and Patricia and her husband Gerard (George) Poetker of RR 1, Stratford. Dear brother of Menno Boshart of Kitchener, Elmina (Mrs. Edward Witmer) of St. George and Loretta (Mrs. Eldon Witmer) of Kitchener. Born in Wellesley Township, he had lived in Baden for the past 20 years where he was employed at the R.D.K. Aluminum Company. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church. Kitchener.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Boshart, he is survived by his wife the former Pearl Keipfer; one daughter, Mrs. Orland (Marcella) Gerber of Baden: four brothers. John of Watertown, N.Y., Simeon of Lowville, N.Y.. Menno of Kitchener, Aaron of Wellesley; six sisters, Mrs. Ezra (Lilly) Brenneman of Kitchener; Mrs. Moses (Netta) Gingerich of Lowville, Mary of Kitchener, Mrs. Clarence (Luella) Erb of Stratford, Mrs. Eldon (Loretta) Witmer of Kitchener, and Mrs. Edward (Elmina) Witmer of Hespeler; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and a son, Delford, five years ago. The body is at the Futher-Omand Funeral Home until Saturday noon when removal will be made to the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, where service will be conducted by Rev Robert Johnson at 3 p m. Lauretta was Director of the W.M.S.C. Cutting Room which prepared clothing, quilts and blankets for the Mennonite Central Committee. She and her husband, managed an MCC Thrift Shop on Lancaster Street for many years. She was actively involved in Women's Sewing Committee at First Mennonite Church, Cradle Roll Department and the Seniors Groups. Lauretta loved and thoroughly enjoyed her children, grandchildren (9), and great-grandchildren (13). Mrs. Violet Bast Dead
BLACK RIVER-Mrs. Violet Gingerich Bast, 55, Black River, R. D. 1, widow of Elmer Bast, died Sunday morning in St. Joseph's hospital, Syracuse, where she had un dergone open heart surgery Wednesday.3 1968
Long in poor health with asthma. the heart surgery had been planned, even before the death of her husband on Sept. He died unexpectedly at the age of 59, of a coronary aftack suffered while unloading grain from a truck on his farm. Local residents had responded to a call for B positive blood for Mrs. Bast's operation.

OWVILLE - Gordon Gingerich, 94, Dowling Park, Fla., formerly of Division Street, died Saturday morning, January 9 at his extended care residence.
Born on February 22, 1921, in Baden, Ont., son of the late Moses and Nettie Boshart Gingerich. He attended schools in New Bremen, West Martinsburg, and Lowville School and Free Academy.
He married Loretta Zehr on June 3, 1945 in the First Mennonite Church of New Bremen.
Gordon worked for Crown Zellerbach as an electrician for 11 years. He opened his own business, Lowville Electric, until 1973. He was an electrical inspector until 1978. He and Loretta moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1980. He operated his own electrical business, Heritage Electric, for 10 years. He was a member of the Copenhagen and then the Lowville Rural Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed spending time at Chase Lake where he had built two camps. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter; two sons. Gordon was also survived by his grandchildren; also great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his wife Loretta; brothers Clifford, Howard, Vernon and his sisters Violet Bast, Rita Western, Alice Moshier, and Frances Burlingame. A grandson, Zachary Komorowski, also died before him.
A memorial service will be held in Florida at Beulah Baptist Church.

Pearl was also a member of the New Hamburg Women's Institute and for many years volunteered her time at the Mennonite Relief Sale and Ten Thousand Villages in New Hamburg. BOSHART, Daniel
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Grand River Hospital, Freeport Campus after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dan was born 70 years ago in Wilmot Township, Ontario, a son of the late Kenneth and Irene (Kurt) Boshart.
Devoted and loving husband of Janet (Siebert) Boshart, who predeceased him on March 4, 2021. Cherished father of Holly and her husband Jason Plein. Cherished and devoted Poppi of Joshua and Miles Plein. Dan will be forever remembered and missed by his brothers, sisters, and spouses; Bill & Sharon Boshart, Linda and Greg Coats, Russ Boshart and Shirley Boshart, and by his many nieces, nephews and friends. God father of Jeff Pauli and Kayla Craig.
Dan was a proud and devoted hockey Poppi, cheering on his grandsons at every game he was able to attend. Dan cherished the name Poppi and devoted much of his time to being a role model in their lives. Dan loved his gardens and enjoyed gardening, canning his famous and delicious pickles, tomato juice and his amazing apple sauce. Dan was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed travelling with his beloved Janet and friends. Dan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. Dan was a lifelong resident of Wilmot Township.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg, on Monday, February 13, 2023 for a time of visiting from 10:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The funeral service for Dan will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Leanne Darlington officiating.
