    Notes:

    Stricken with a heart attack, Edward Roth, 28 Locust street, passed away early today in his 52nd year. Mr. Roth was a carpenter by trade and had been employed for the past 12 years with Ed Schnarr, contractor, for whom he worked yesterday. Deceased was born in Preston, a son of George Roth and the late Mrs. Roth. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Kiefer, his father of Preston, two brothers, Clarence of Preston and Anthony of Grand Rapids, Mich., and one sister, Miss Elizabeth Roth of Preston. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at St. Mary's R.C. church. Interment will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery. Remains will rest at the Lippert and Hunter Funeral Home until 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon when they will be removed to the late residence.

    Clarence W. Roth

    PRESTON Clarence W. Roth, 58, of 433 Duke St., Preston, died at his home today. He was manager of Preston Sand and Gravel Company, Ltd. A lifelong resident of the town. Mr. Roth was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society. He was also secretary-treasurer of the Northwest Lumber Dealers Association. He had been in the lumber industry for 37 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Keller; one son, George; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth and Janet, all at home; one sister, Elizabeth Roth of Preston. The body will be at Stager-Barthel Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Monday. Requiem high mass will be celebrated in St. Clement's Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Elizabeth C. aged 82, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, November 8th, 1987. She was recently a resident of Fairview Mennonite Home and formerly a long time hairdresser in the Cambridge area. Beloved sister-in-law of Mrs. Clarence Roth; Aunt of George Roth, Mary Elizabeth Hearn and Janet Jackson; great-aunt of Jason Roth and Colleen and Kathleen Hearn. Predeceased by her father, George J. Roth, mother Elizabeth Fach and brothers Edward, Anthony, Leonard and Clarence. A memorial mass will be held at St. Clement's Church, Cambridge, (Preston), on Thursday, November 12th, 1987, at 10 a.m.

    JACKSON, Margaret Janet (nee Roth) Janet passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 72. She was the dear sister of Mary Liz Hearn and her brother George Roth, both of Waterloo and she will be missed by her nieces Colleen Little and Kathleen Hearn and nephew Jason Roth, their families and all her friends at 'The Studio' program of K-W Habilitation. She was predeceased by her husband Jim Jackson of Kitchener, her brother-in-law Michael Hearn of Waterloo, her parents Mary Ann and Clarence Roth and her aunt Elizabeth (Janey) Roth, all of Cambridge (Preston). A very special thank you to Stephanie and Laurie at 'The Studio' who kept her laughing and the staff at Forest Heights Long Term Care for their care and kindness. Friends are invited to share their memories of Janet with her family at the visitation at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 10-10: 45 a.m. A memorial service will take place in the chapel at 11 a.m., reception to follow.
