    Notes:

    Very suddenly, at her home on Silver Heights, early Wednesday morning, after suffering a paralytic stroke on Monday. One of Hespeler's most esteemed citizens and one who did a great deal of good in the circles in which she moved. Wife of John T. Blatchford. She was a daughter of the late Alex Parks, born at Puslinch Lake 68 years ago and was married in 1868. She and her husband resided in Puslinch Township, Williamsford and Waterloo Townships, before coming to Hespeler twenty-seven years ago. She was a consistent member of the Methodist Church and was greatly esteemed by a large circle of friends. She leaves her husband, three children, George and Mrs. Griffith of Owen Sound; and Basil, at home; brothers, Will and Wesley J. Parks; sisters, Mrs. Hannah Brown and Mrs. William Hortop. Another sister, Mrs. Howitt died some years ago. The funeral took place from her residence on Fri. , July 21 at 2: 30 to the Hespeler Cemetery for interment.

    BLATCHFORD, GEORGE WILLIAM

    Word was received here (Hespeler) Thursday morning, June 1, 1922, of the death of Mr. Blatchford, a former resident of Hespeler. He was born in Puslinch Township about 50 years ago and moved to Owen Sound from Hespeler some sixteen or eighteen years ago. Besides his wife and family, one sister, Mrs. Griffith of Owen Sound and one brother, Basil of Kitchener, survive.

    -Information from the death certificate: Born in Waterloo County on October 10, ?, son of John Blatchford and Mary Ann Parks. Of 540 - 14th St. W. in Owen Sound. Aged 57 years. Occupation - implement agent.

    John Blatchford

    John Basil Blatchford of 189 Snyder Rd. E., Baden, died Friday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was 81.

    A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Blatchford, he was born Sept. 30, 1887, in Hespeler. He was a machinist at Canadian Blower and Forge Co. for 37 years and retired in 1957. Mr. Blatchford attended services at the Salvation Army Citadel.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Lydia Wenzel, and a stepdaughter, Doris Wenzel of Kitchener. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Minnie Schuster, and one brother and a sister.

    Funeral service was held at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home on Monday, Maj. John Fayter of the Salvation Army officiating.

    Burial was in Mount Hope cemetery.
