    Death of Mrs. James Ronald - The death occurred on Saturday of Mrs. Christa Ann Ronald, widow of James Ronald, in her 85th year. Born at Clyde, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel McPherson, she removed with the family a few years later to Glenmorris. When married to James Ronald, they took up farming on the 9th concession of Blenheim, where they made their home for about 30 years. They came to Ayr about 26 years ago, where Mrs. Ronald had resided until the time of her death. She is survived by a, son, Gordon, Of Blenheim township, and a daughter, Jeanetta Ronald, of Toronto; also one brother, Duncan McPherson of Glenmorris. The funeral, which took place from her late residence, Hall street, on Monday afternoon, was largely attended, friends and relatives being present from Glenmorris, St. George, Paris, Bright and Drumbo. The services were in charge of Rev. L. L. Meech of Winnipeg in the absence of Rev. J. W. Currie, pastor of Knox United Church. The pallbearers were: John Clark, Drumbo; Jackson Clark, Drumbo; Martin Harrison, Platteville; George Wallace, Drumbo; Alex McPherson, Glenmorris, and Stanley McPherson, Paris.

    Demise Of Margaret Ronald - The death occurred on Thursday morning of Margaret Helen, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ronald, Ayr, aged 30 years, after a lingering illness, extending over two years. Miss Ronald, whose bright, loving disposition had won her many friends, was born in Blenheim township and came to Ayr with her parents about eight years ago. She was a member of Knox United Church and also acted as a teacher in the Sabbath School for several years. Besides her parents she is survived by one sister, Jeanetta, in Toronto, and two brothers, William, in Winnipeg and Gordon, near Bright. The funeral, which took place on Saturday afternoon, was largely attended, and many beautiful floral tributes offered silent testimony of the high esteem in which deceased was held. The services were conducted by Rev. J. W. Currie and the pallbearers were: Alex. McPherson, Watson McPherson, William Ronald and Alex. Bond (cousins), Glenmorris; John Clark and Arthur Harrison (school-mates), Blenheim.

    Funeral of an Overseas Man - The funeral on Friday afternoon of the late James Edwin Ronald, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ronald, to the Ayr cemetery, was largely attended. Rev. J. J. Brown, pastor of Knox United Church, conducted the service. The pallbearers were John Clark, James Patterson and Arthur Harriston, 8th Con., Blenheim, school mates; Watson and Alex. McPherson, Glenmorris, cousins; and M. Roche, Kitchener, a telegraph operator and friend. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful, including a wreath contributed by the local G. W. V. A., which organization was represented by Messrs. Harry Griffin and J.T. Gillies, both overseas men and upon whom devolved the duty of draping the casket with the Union Jack.

    Death of James Edwin Ronald - the death took place at the Freeport Sanatorium on Wednesday, July 11, of James Edwin Ronald, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Ronald, of Ayr, in his 27th year. The deceased had served with the Canadian Division of the Signal Corps overseas, where his health was undermined. He was employed as a telegraph operator at Weston, but was obliged to give up work about a year ago. Besides his parents, two sisters and two brothers also survive. They are Jeanette, Toronto; Margaret at home; Gordon C. and William in Vancouver, the latter, who was shot through the back at Vimy, being in Vancouver hospital. The funeral will take place from the parental residence, Hall Street, on Friday, at 3 p.m., to the Ayr cemetery.
