Mrs. Stuart Strachan of RR 9, Dunnville, passed away as the result of a vehicle crash at Nelles Corners on May 9, 1996. She was 85. The former Sarah Gertrude Howatt, she was born in Prince Edward Island. She married Stuart "Pete" Strachan in 1948. For many years they resided at RR 1, Paris, until moving to the Dunnville area in 1978. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Susan McLaren of Australia and Mrs. Reg (Patricia) Bainbridge of Binbrook; also five grandchildren. Funeral service was in South Cayuga. Cremation. Interment Ayr Cemetery.
