On Saturday, May 26, 1979, at the K-W Hospital, of 15 Herbert St., Elmira, Lloyd W. Snyder, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Roberta Groff; dear father of Lorne of Waterloo, Murray of Elmira and Mrs. Earl M. (Betty) Bauman of St. Jacobs; brother of Mrs. Ida Shantz of St. George, Mrs. Nellie Shoemaker of Acton, Walter of Mannheim, George, Howard and Mrs. Eldon (Myrtle) Kreuger, all of Kitchener; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandson also survive. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Irvin (Viola) Mohr and Mrs. Clayton (Vera) Mohr. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Church in Elmira. Friends called at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, until Tuesday, when removal was made to Emmanuel Missionary Church for funeral service at 2: 30 p.m. Interment in the Elmira cemetery.

Lorne James Peacefully and surrounded by his family at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in his 84th year. Loving husband of Betty. Father of Robert (Suzanne) Snyder, Dr. Douglas (Eleanor) Snyder, and Gail (Paul) Norcott, and stepfather of Ronald (Mila) Wain and Gary Wain. Lorne will be sadly missed by his 15 grandchildren. Brother of Murray (Isabelle) Snyder, Betty (Earl) Bauman. Also missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Ellen (nee Jantzie), 1989. Lorne was a loyal employee of the City of Kitchener for 36 years. Faithful member of Trinity Evangelical Missionary Church. He will be forever remembered for his love of family and friends. Family and friends will be received at Robert Ruggle Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service celebrating Lorne's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Parkview Cemetery. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Sunday, August 31, 2014, at the age of 83 years. Murray Snyder was the beloved husband for 51 years of Isabelle (Dahmer) Snyder. Dear father of Bev and her husband Cleason Martin, Cheryl and her husband Rob Martin, Dale Snyder, Sandra and her husband Duane Brubacher. Loved grandpa of seven grandchildren, Tami (Logan), Jake, Brittany, Georgi, Darcie, Tyler, and Katelyn. Brother of Betty and Earl Bauman, and brother-in-law of Betty Snyder. Also remembered by the Dahmer family; Betty and Jim Tolton, Jean and Don Amy, Helen and Bob Reay, John and Maryann Dahmer. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Roberta (Groff) Snyder, and his brother Lorne. Murray sold trucks for Kirby International for many years and was involved with Transport for Christ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira.
