    At St. Lukes Place, Cambridge, on Monday, June 8, 1998, the former Elsie Moyer, formerly of Heather Ave., Kitchener, aged 84 years. Elsie was a member of St. James Rosemount United Church and had been very active with Church activities serving as President of the Womens Federation when UCW came into existance, had served as President of the Presbyterial in 1969, had served as President at the Hamilton Conference of UCW from 1974 to 75 and was a representative of the National Conference on Lay Organization for three years. Mother to David and his wife Sharon of Kitchener and Donna and her husband Thomas Wells of Haileybury: three grandsons, Gavin, Trevor and Christopher also survive. Predeceased by her parents: her husband. Archie in 1984: four brothers. Lloyd, Herbert, Elton and Floward. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. until noon on Friday when removal will be made to St. James Rosemount Church where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., with Rev. Rick Burgess officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.

    Weddings, Durant-Moyer
    A quiet wedding took place this afternoon in the Norfolk Street United Church, Guelph when Miss Elsie Laurine Moyer of Kitchener, daughter of Mrs. Edwin Moyer of Preston, became the bride of Archie Durant, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Durant of Guelph. Dr. C. Elmer Kenny performed the ceremony. The bride wore a dusty pink wool ensemble with beige hat and accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. After a wedding trip to Montreal, the young couple will reside in Guelph.
