    Notes:

    Edwin M. Martin, 61, of RR 2, Waterloo, died at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 13, 1905, in Woolwich Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham B. Martin. Surviving are his wife, the former Annie Martin; one son, Cleason, RR 2, Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Eileen) Brubacher, Conestogo; one brother, Dalton, RR 1, Waterloo; one sister, Mrs. Daniel Cressman, RR 2, West Montrose; nine grandchildren. One son, one brother and one sister, predeceased him. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until last Friday at 9: 30 a.m., when removal was made to the home for service. A further service was held at Martin's Mennonite Meeting House later Friday afternoon. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. .

    BRUBACHER, Eileen (Mrs. Ivan B.)- Peacefully, on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at K.W. Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Eileen (Martin) Brubacher, in her 76th year, of Elmira, formerly of Conestogo. Beloved wife of Ivan B. Brubacher. Devoted mother to David and Lynda Brubacher of Vineland, Dennis and Sheri Brubacher of Hawkesville, Darlene and Roger Weber and Marvin Brubacher, all of RR 2, Wallenstein and Mark Brubacher of Winnipeg. Also lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Sister and sister-in-law of Cleason and Mary Martin, Lavina Brubacher, Paul Prott, Lydian Kappes, Susannah Brubacher, Elmina Brubacher and David and Vera Brubacher. Predeceased by her parents, Edwin and Annie Martin; one brother, Melvin Martin in infancy and two sisters who were still-born. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, transfer will be made to St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, for funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Diller Harder and Pastor Barb Smith- Morrison officiating, followed by interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. In her memory, donations to St. Jacobs Mennonite Church Building Fund or Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family, as expressions of sympathy.

    MRS. ERMA DETTWILER (nee Cressman) 1930 - 2007 Erma departed this earth, at Pinehaven Nursing home, on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Erma was the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Magdalena Cressman. In her early teens, it was her desire to become a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized into Christian Fellowship and remained faithful throughout her life. In 1953, Erma and Mahlon Dettwiler were united in marriage. Her life lives on, as she was a loving and devoted mother to Wesley (Janet) Dettwiler, Charlene Hudson, Debra (Arthur) Dettweiler and Andrea (Dennis) Freund. A dear grandmother to Benjamin and Deeanna Dettwiler, Kyle Hudson, Christopher and Brent Dettweiler and Autumn, Hannah and Carter Freund. Erma suffered many years with the crippling diseases of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Osteoporosis. She fought them valiantly. In December 2005, she moved to Pinehaven Nursing Home which became her new home. She was welcomed by all. Her responsibilities included putting things in their proper place and tiding up, which she did as long as she was able to walk. She never complained or asked about home. As a family, we sincerely thank Dr. Pope, the nurses, the staff and caregivers for the love and care they provided Erma. For this we are truly thankful and wish you God's abundant blessing. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home in Elmira on Thursday, July 26 (today) from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, July 27 from 2-4 p.m. only. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, transfer will be made to Elmira Mennonite Church for funeral service at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. Fred Redekop officiating. Interment will follow at St. Jacobs Mennonite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society, Parkinson Society Canada or Osteoporosis Canada would be appreciated by the family.

    CURTIS (CURT) MARTIN CRESSMAN 1935 - 2010 After being diagnosed with cancer four weeks ago, Curt passed away, peacefully, at his home in Elmira on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the age of 75. Survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Rebecca (nee Metzger); his children, Keith and his wife Sandra of Elora, Clare and his wife Lois of Elmira, Lorrie Grigg and her husband Nelson of Kitchener, and Scott and his wife Melanie of Essex. He will be greatly missed by his ten grandchildren, Shannon and Tracey, Serena, Nicole and Logan, Brandon, Alanna and Hayley, and Emily and Caitlyn. Survived by his brother, Mervin and his wife Dianne of West Montrose and brother-in-law, Mahlon Dettwiler of Bloomingdale. Curt will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Magdalena (Martin) Cressman and his sister, Erma Dettwiler. Visitation will be held at Woodside Bible Fellowship, 200 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira on Wednesday, March 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Woodside Bible Fellowship on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2 p.m. with interment following at Elmira Union Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the church.     MARTIN, Sanford Paul "Sandy" - Suddenly, as the result of a traffic accident, on Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, Sanford Paul "Sandy" Martin, age 32 years, of RR 1, Waterloo.

    Loving husband of the late Bonnie (Stoll) Martin (October 2, 1999). Dear father of Trent William, Anthony Leighton and Holly Lyn, all at home. Beloved son of Leighton and Florence (Weber) Martin of RR 1, Waterloo; dear brother of Steve and Rosemary, Ken and Danette, Janet, Sharon, Kevin and Marge and Colleen Martin, all of RR 1, Waterloo, Laurel and Verlynn Yoder of Indiana and Ruben and Christine Guevara of RR 1, Wallenstein. Also re- membered by his five nieces and six nephews. Grandson of Lizzie Martin and Ephraim and Luida Weber. Prede- ceased by his grandfather, Delton Martin.

    Sandy was Operations Manager at Martin's Family Fruit Farm. He was actively involved in his church.

    The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, this evening (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. At 12 noon on Wednesday, trans- fer will be made to Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, Hawkesville for funeral service at 2 p.m. followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery.
