WOLFE, Mrs. Gertrude

At St. Mary's Hospital, on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 1979, after a brief illness, the former Gertrude Steinke, of 60 Margaret Ave. S., Waterloo, aged 81 years. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Born in Kitchener, she was formerly an employee for many years of the Valentine Shoe Co., in Kitchener and later the Greb Shoe Company Ltd. Mother of Percy F. Wolfe of Mississauga, Mrs. Ruth Hintz of Kitchener, Doris (Mrs. Joe Pieper) and Darlene (Mrs. Kenneth Storer), both of Waterloo; sister of Charles and Percy Steinke, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Pearl Hofstetter of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Maude Rank, Leona (Mrs. Sanford Kraft), both of Kitchener and Mrs. Dorothy Henrich of Baden; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. She was predeceased by her husband Percy R. Wolfe, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Steinke, three brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after noon on Thursday. Funeral and committal service in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Eric Reble officiating. Interment St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery.
