Agop Tartourian

PRESTON - Agop Tartourian, 61, who had planned to reside at 755 Duke St., Preston, died suddenly, Tuesday, at Victoria Hospital, Halifax, N.S. Mr. Tartourian was born in Turkey and was immigrating to Canada from Athens, Greece. He was stricken while leaving the ship. He was removed to hospital where he died later the same day. He was affiliated with the Armenian church. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donic Tartourian. Surviving are his wife, the former Virginia Yazian and three daughters, Mrs. Andre (Sophie) Skarolupous and Mrs. Nicholas (Herminia) Mozas, both of Toronto and Mrs. George (Agavini) Kirkorian of Preston, four grandchildren. The body will be at the Maurice J. O'Brien Funeral Home, Saturday night.

Of 755 Duke St., Cambridge, on Friday, Sept. 4, 1992, at Victoria. Hospital, London, Ont., Agavni (Ann) Tartourian, beloved wife of George Kirkorian in her 59th year. Dear mother of Virginia and her husband Jack Kaakandjian and Louise and her husband Victor Ferreira, all of Cambridge and Margaret of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of Marima and Jack Jr. Kaakandjian. Also survived by two sisters, Sophia (Mrs. Andrew Skaropoulous) of California and Hermione (Mrs. Jack Moses) of Toronto. Mrs. Kirkorian came to Cambridge in August, 1958 from Athens, Greece. She was a member of the Armenian Apostolic Sourp Nishan Church of Cambridge. Friends were received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Cambridge, Sunday, Sept 6, 1992, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held at St. John's Anglican Church, 587 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Monday, Sept. 7, 1992, at 2 p.m. Interment followed in Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
