BALL, Wilfred George

Of 519 Grand Valley Drive, Cambridge, on Sunday, Jan. 3, 1988, at his residence, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Ellen Hoyle; dear father of Wilfred and his wife Margaret of Cambridge, Barbara (Mrs. Gary McPherson) of Kitchener and Wendy (Mrs. Terry Chamberlain) of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren and two sisters, Blanche (Mrs. William Vogt) of Washington, USA and Monta (Mrs. William Gildert) of British Columbia, Predeceased by one sister, Florence. Mr. Ball was born in Toronto and came to Cambridge, in 1980. He was a retired employee of Eastern Steel Products of Cambridge and a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Canadian Army, overseas. The family will receive friends at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambrdge, Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1988, at 11 a.m. Interment Park Lawn cemetery.

BALL, Wilfred John

Passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Hamilton General Hospital, in his 67th year. Beloved husband for the past 44 years of Margaret (nee Mowatt). Sadly missed by his daughter, Laura Melo of Kitchener and son, David Ball of Cambridge. Survived by his two sisters, Wendy (Terry) Chamberlain of Cambridge and Barbara (Gary) McPherson of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents, Wilfred George and Ellen Ball. Mr. Ball was born in Toronto and resided in Cambridge since the age of 13. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. A private interment service will be held at Parklawn Cemetery Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. A Memorial Gathering will be held.
