COLLARD, Samuel Rex

Of 339 Bishop St., Cambridge, on Sunday, Nov. 28, 1993, at his residence, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte Greenbury (1981). Dear father of Rex and his wife Margaret of Kitchener. Also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lily Mae Roth of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by three grandchildren. Mr. Collard was born in England and had been a resident of Cambridge, for the past 83 years. A veteran of the Second World War. At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Memorial service will be announced in it latter edition of the Record. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Beloved husband of Margaret for 48 years, Rex passed away in sleep January 20, 2014 at his home. Family include three daughters Angela (Jeff Blair), Charlene (Marc Proulx) and Karen (predeceased 2004)(Mike Liddell), his 6-pack of grandkids Sam, Max, Amber, Megan, DeeAna & Zachary, as well as in-law siblings and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Sam & Charlotte, and Raymond & Margaret Clark. Rex called Preston, Kitchener, Scarborough and Owen Sound home. Visitation is at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Ontario N3H 3J8 (519)-653-3251 from 6-9 Friday January 24, 2014. Memorial Service at Williamsburg Cemetery Chapel Saturday January 25, 2014 gathering at 1:30, service to begin at 2. If you are comfortable, please wear your "strut suit" (clothes that make you feel fancy and fine) and bring your stories of Rex. Donations to ACSA Outreach of Agincourt, United Church Mission & Service Fund or Epilepsy Canada.
