BOERU, Danny (Daniel John)

Passed away on Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998, in his 67th year, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Danny was a resident of Cambridge for 50 years and an exceptionally dedicated bus driver for over 40 years. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Neely; dear father of Dale and his wife Wendy of Kitchener, Rob and his wife Jackie of Cambridge, Teri and her husband Gary Dunn of Cambridge; brother of Elena of Romania; loving grandfather of Jeff, Allen, Derek, Danielle, Brandon and Taylor. Danny was predeceased by his parents and a daughter, Lisa. Relatives and friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 1998, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.

BOERU, Dale

Passed away suddenly, in a tragic accident, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the age of 51. He now joins his father Daniel (1998) and his sister, Lisa (1961). Dale will never be forgotten by his beloved wife and best friend Wendy, was the best Dad ever to his son Allen and the proud Grandpa of Ciara and Keegan. He also leaves behind his loving mother Elizabeth (Jim), his sister Teri (Gary) Dunn and brother Rob (Jackie), nieces and nephews, Jeff, Derek, Danielle, Brandon, and Taylor as well as Wendy's family, her parents, Allen and Carol Golem of Chesley; brother Corey Golem of Drayton; and niece and nephew, Sarah Webb and family, and Justin Golem of Chesley. Dale owned three companies, the National Drag Racing Association, canadiandragracer.ca, and Fast Entertainment Inc. He will be missed by his NDRA racing family and fans as well as many other family, friends, and co-workers. Dale's family invites relatives and friends to visitation at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519) 653-3251 on Sunday, December 15th from 2: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m. and 7: 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. and the Funeral Service to celebrate Dale's life at 1: 00 p.m., on Monday, December 16, 2013, at Saint John's Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge. Burial will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
