DEAN, Joseph Lorne (Joe)

Passed away peacefully, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario, on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at age 94. Predeceased by his beloved wife Christina of 57 years. Loving father of Mike, John (Faith), Catherine Kearney (John). Dearly loved Grandfather of Michael, Shawn, Michelle and Melissa and Great-Grandfather to Jaxon Joseph (Michael). Dear brother of Salem. Joe proudly served in WW II (1940-1946) in the British Army and was the longest living member of the Royal Canadian Legion (Preston) Branch # 126. A special thank you to the Nursing Staff, 5 North at Grand River Hospital, for their kindness to family and excellent care for our Dad. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario, on Friday, September 26, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from Wanner Mennonite Church, 1705 Beaverdale Road, Cambridge at 2 p.m. Interment to follow, at Wanner Mennonite Church Cemetery.
