    KESSIG, Desmond Louis - Following a lengthy illness, at Maryhill Extended Care Centre. Maryhill, on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 1990. age 86 years.

    Born in Waterloo. He was retired from Mutual Life after 25 years service. A member of St. Louis RC Church, participated in the church choir, belonged to the Holy Name Society and the Waterloo Musical Society Band.

    Beloved husband of Edna (nee Zettell; dear father of Wayne and his wife Carol of Kitchener and Pat and her husband Nick Zakutin of Breslau; brother of Vern of Welland. Survived by four grandchildren, Dan and Rosemarie Kessig and Kathryn and Dave Zakutin.

    Predeceased by his parents, Louis and Mary Kessig and a sister, Corinne.

    Mr. Kessig's family will receive friends at the Edward R Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Water-loo, today (Wednesday), 7-9 p.m. and Thursday. 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m., with funeral mass to follow at St. Louis RC Church on Friday at 10 a.m., Father Peter Pigott officiating. Interment Mount Hope cemetery, Waterloo.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Waterloo Regional Lung Association or the Bolivian Missions, greatly appreciated. Parish prayers will be held Thursday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    KESSIG, Vernon - Of Welland passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 3. 2003 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Adeline (Brema). Loving father of Patti Kessig and his wife Jennifer of Newmarket. Dear stepfather of Torn Tykoliz and his wife Sandra of Las Vegas, Susan Foebel and her husband Bryan of Port Colborne and Jim Tykoliz and his wife Heather of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Mark, Matt,(Alisa) & Lisa Kessig (Greg): Ben & Sara Tomiuck, Tara (Ron) McMillan and Sausha Foebel. Great grampa to Tyler, Cole. Lauren and Cooper McMillan and Hudson Kessig. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Betty (Armstrong) (1974), his brother Desmond and his sister Corinne. Mr. Kessig was born in Waterloo and came to Welland in 1937. He worked at Stokes Rubber which became Gen Corp from which he retired in 1975. Early in his We Vernon found several passions which have stayed with him; he was a devoted member of St. Kevin's Church, the Holy Name Society, Church Choirs, Separate School Board trustee and Ontario Housing Corporation. He was a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis of Assisi Council 2146, a Fourth Degree Member of Fr. Faustus A. McKenna Council 0873 and Past Faithful Navigator. The family will receive their friends at J. J. PATTERSON & SONS FUNERAL RESIDENCE, 19 Young Street, Welland on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7.9 p.m. where a Vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Knights of Columbus Bible Devotions will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. followed by Fourth Degree Chalice presentation. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Kevin's, Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Cremation will follow with interment of cremated remains in Mount St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.     WAYNE EDWARD KESSIG 1945 - 2006

    Passed away. peacefully, at home, with family by his side, on Friday, November 3. 2006 at the age of 61 years.

    Loving husband of Carol (nee Wey). Beloved father of Dan and his wife Lisa and Rose Binkley and her husband J.T. Proud grandfather of Natalie and Jack Binkley. Sadly missed by his sister, Pat Zakutin and her husband Nick. Predeceased by his parents Desmond and Edna Kessig. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and friends.

    The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Barby Butts and Dr. Donna Ward, whose combination of compassion and professionalism helped ease everyone's burden on a challenging journey.

    Friends are invited to celebrate Wayne's life at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Tuesday. November 7, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be read at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Cristian [sic] Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, 49 Blueridge Ave.. Kitchener. Ont. on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev Joseph de Viveros as celebrant, assisted by Rev. Bernie Hayes, C.R. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the committal service, friends and family are invited to gather at the Funeral Home's Fireside Reception Room for refreshments and a time to visit.

    With tremendous sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of Louis Huber at Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre, at the age of 77. Cherished spouse of ReIla Oberle-Huber, who was by his side at the time of passing. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Corrine. Beloved brother to James (Sandy) of Guelph, Marianne (Rio) Caron of Waterloo, Doreen (Stan) Martin of Scottsville, Arizona, and Susan Davis of Kitchener. Loving father to Debra (Ken) Musselman, Kim (Marlene) Oberle, Sally (Glenn) Yanke and Stephanie (Tony) Boppre. Beloved Grandpa to Kristine (Don) Mosburger, Jill (Tony) Cudney, Michael Musselman, Sara and Adam Yanke, Chantelle and Michelle Boppre. Great-grandpa to Kassity, Kaleb, Jackson, Logan and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a lover of the outdoors; gardening, fishing, and hunting were his passion. He could always look up past weather and events in his extensive journals faithfully kept over the years. The family is eternally grateful for the special care that Lou received from the Doctors, Nurses and volunteers at the Wiarton and Grey-Bruce Hospitals. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation or Wiarton Hospital and will be accepted through Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services 1-877-991-9995. According to Lou's wishes no visitation is planned, cremation has taken place. A private family get together will take place at a future date to celebrate Lou's life.
