Underwood; mother of Mrs. Marjorie Smith, Detroit, Mich., and the late Kenneth, who predeceased her in February of 1967; sister of August Kemp of Chatsworth; grandmother of Nancy Smith, Detroit, James Smith, New Mexico and Mrs. Ruth Ann Snider of Kitchener; great-grandmother of David Smith and Jason Snider. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener. Funeral service in the chapel Thursday at 3 p.m., with Rev. Bruce Seebach and Rev. G. F. Barthel officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery.

Kenneth C. Underwood - Kenneth C. Underwood, 50, of 38 Tanglewood Ave., died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 4, 1916, in Kitchener, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Milo Underwood, 9 College St. He was an employee of Schlichter's Ltd., for the past 13 years. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, the former Edith Emslie whom he married Feb. 21, 1959, at New Hamburg, and one sister, Mrs. Marjorie Smith of Detroit. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home after noon Saturday. The funereal will be Monday at 1: 30 pm at the funeral home conducted by Rev. J.V. Dahms, minister of Calvary Memorial Evangelical United Brethren Church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
