    Notes:

    Samuel K. Brubacher, "son of Jacob S. and Magdalena (Shelley) Brubacher, and brother to John S. Brubacher, was born in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, October 26th, 1860. He came to Canada when quite a young man and had his home with his brother, John S. On October lst, 1882, he was married to Catharine, daughter of Thomas and Catharine (Kolb) Murphy. She was adopted by Joseph and Anna Weber when quite young. After the decease of Mr. and Mr. Weber she had her home with her step-sister, Mrs. John S. Brubacher, until her marriage. They reside on a farm two miles north of the village of Conestogo. Their family consists of six children".

    MRS. S. NOAH MARTIN

    The birth of a baby daughter and a safety pin that the mother swallowed several months previous to the birth, caused the death of Mrs. S. Noah Martin in the Toronto General Hospital, August 7.

    A great deal of anxiety was felt when Mrs. Martin first swallowed the pin a few months previous to her death, but when no complications arose the incident was forgotten. During a vomiting spell last week the pin became lodged in her throat. Authorities at the K-W Hospital sent her to the Toronto General Hospital but before an operation could be performed to remove the pin, she gave birth to a baby daughter.

    Complications set in during the delay which caused her death. The pin was found in her lung.

    The deceased is the wife of Noah Martin of New Jerusalem section south of Elmira. Besides her husband she is survived by five children, all at home, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Brubacher of New Jerusalem, three brothers and three sisters.

    Funeral services were held Sunday at 1.30 p.m. from her late residence. A church service took place in the Elmira Mennonite church following the service at the home. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 1, 2018, surrounded by his family, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, at the age of 73 years.

    Lloyd, of Elmira, was the beloved husband of Candie Brubacher for over 50 years. Dear father of Rick and Cindy Brubacher of Atwood and Joyce and Kevin Horst of Elmira. Loved Papa of Corey, Ashley (Alex), Mykayla, Brydon; Dylan, Zach, and Sylvia; and Great-Papa of Keian and Landon. He will be missed by his siblings Irene Wagner, Mervin Brubacher, Willard Brubacher, and Alice Knarr, and their families.

    Predeceased by his parents Simeon and Ada (Gingrich) Brubacher, sister Verna, and sister-in-law Adeline.

    Lloyd's family was precious to him. He was an avid golfer and a friend to all.

    Visitation will take place on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday December 4, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at Wallenstein Bible Chapel, 4522 Herrgott Rd., Wallenstein. Interment will be held in Hawkesville Cemetery, 16 Geddes St., Hawkesville, on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. at Wallenstein Bible Chapel. A reception will follow.

Sister of Marie (Clarence) Weber, Ella (Howard) Brubacher, Glen (Lorene) Wideman, Vera (Allen) Gingrich, David Wideman, and sister-in-law of Erma and Eva Wideman. Predeceased by her parents Menno and Salema (Gingrich) Wideman, brothers Earl and Lorne, and grandson Victor Brubacher. The family would like to thank the Care Partners for their compassionate care. Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 12-8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. Family service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, then to Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.

    Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on July 12, 2012 at the age of 66. Cherished husband of Eva (nee Ogram) for 44 years. Loving father of Shelley (Darin Portnoff) of Richmond Hill, Darryl (Cindy Marcella) of Kitchener, and Duane of Waterloo. Dear grandpa of Jacqueline and Ashton Portnoff, Jesse Wideman, and Rachelle and Holly Marcella. Lorne will be missed by his brothers and sisters; Fern Brubacher, Earl (Erma), Marie (Clarence) Weber, Ella (Howard) Brubacher, Glenn (Lorene), Vera (Allen) Gingrich, and David. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Menno and Salema (nee Gingrich) and his brother-in-law Orvie Brubacher. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorne with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, July 15 from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday, July 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Calvary United Church, 48 Hawkesville Rd., St. Jacobs, on Tuesday, July 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev.     One sister predeceased him.

    The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Saturday. A service was held at his home at 1: 30 p.m., followed by a service at the West Montrose Mennonite Meeting House and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
