    SCHNARR, John "Jack" With great sadness the family announces the passing of Jack Schnarr on Monday, May 21, 2012 in his 88th year, at Grand River Hospital Freeport Site with his family at his side. Dearly loved husband of 67 years to Olga (nee Rempel), and cherished father to Judy Schnarr-Chiduck (Manfred) of New Hamburg, James Schnarr (Karen) of Miller Lake and Bob Schnarr (Sandy) of Cambridge. Jack leaves cherished memories with his four grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, one great-great- grandchild, two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. Survived by brother Jerry Schnarr (Elaine) of Midland and sister Loretta Zettell (Jerry) of Goderich. Predeceased by parents Alvin and May (nee Forler) and brothers Roy and Lorne. Jack served for four years in the Royal Canadian Air Force before going into a 42 year career with Seagram's Distillery/ Gordon's Gin. He enjoyed fishing, camping at Miller Lake, and talking with friends new and old. Jack was a wonderful provider for his family and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. Friends will be received at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of the chapel service at 11:00 with Pastors Andre Lavergne and Anne Anderson of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Hamburg officiating. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association, Kitchener Arthritis Society or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
