To this union were born 3 sons and 5 daughters. One son (Solomon) died in 1895 and Mattie (Mrs. Michael Wagler) died in 1934. There survive her 2 sons (John and Noah) and 4 daughters (Katie -- Mrs. C. S. Kennel, Barbara --Mrs. David Lichti, Mary -- Mrs. Sam Bast, and Lizzie -- Mrs. Sam E. Leis, with whom she had made her home the last 10 years); also 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She united with the A. M. Church in Wilmot Twp. in her youth, later moving to Wellesley Twp., where she was buried. Services were conducted at the home by Peter Boshart and at the Maple View A. M. Church by Peter Nafziger, J. Schultz. - John L. Schultz was born near Petersburg, Ont., Jan. 25, 1859. On May 3, 1934, early in the morning, by chance with a truck he left at the home of his son-in-law and daughter in Wellesley, (where he was residing the last few years), for Shakespeare, about 15 miles from the home, to see a doctor for some minor ailments. Just before entering the house of the doctor he dropped down and in a few minutes expired; aged 75 y. 3 m. 9 d. He was married to Catherine Boshart in 1878, who preceded him June 7, 1925. To this union were born 2 sons and 4 daughters. One son died in infancy. There remain Moses of Baden, Ont.; Mattie (Mrs. Moses Leis) of Wellesley, Ont., where he was residing; Katie, Lizzie (Mrs. Bingaman) of Kitchener, Ont.; Anne (Mrs. Dan Schlabach), Guernsey, Sask. He had a sister who died a number of years ago, who was the mother of Bro. Amos Swartzentruber, missionary in S. America. In his youth he was baptized and received into the Amish Mennonite Church, by his grandfather, the later Peter Litwiller, bishop then of the Wilmot Church, who was the great-grandfather of Bro. Nelson Litwiller, also of S. America, and was faithful to the end. Funeral services May 6, by Bro. Dan Lebold at the home and at the Wilmot church by Bro. Chris Gascho, and Bro. Dan Jutzi. Boshart.-Nancy, daughter of the late Menno and Elisabeth (Litwiller) Schultz, was born on April 26, 1867, in Perth Co., Ont.; died April 26, 1936; aged 69 years. After a lingering illness for over four years off and on of cancer, about a year and a half ago she was operated on which at first seemed to be a success but the dreadful malady developed again. Three weeks previous to her death she had inflammation of the veins and a paralytic stroke, all caused by the disease. She fell peacefully asleep in Jesus and went to her long desired home early in the morning of her birthday. She was married to Pre. Peter Boshart, Oct. 4, 1892. To this union were born 3 sons and 1 daughter. She leaves to mourn her departure, her sorrowing husband, her children (Emanuel, Ezra, Salome (Mrs. Menno O. Erb), and Samuel, all of this community) and 9 grandchildren. She was the first to break the family circle. She also leaves 4 brothers, 1 sister, many friends and relatives. After marriage they moved on the farm where they lived until 9 years ago when he retired from farming and lived at Baden 5 years till sickness made it necessary to move back to the farm to live with their son Ezra till the time of departure. Funeral was held April 29. Services at the home were conducted by Christian R. Brunk and at the Poole Amish Mennonite Church by Daniel S. Jutzi, Oscar Burkholder, and Christian Gascho. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
Our family circle now is broken,
Since you have gone to rest;
But we our heads do humbly bow,
And say, "God thought it best."

Schultz, Samuel L., son of Menno and Elizabeth (Litwiller) Schultz, was born in Perth Co., Ont., Feb. 26, 1883; died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam N. Schultz, June 14, 1966; aged 83 y. 3 m. 19 d. On Jan. 18, 1910, he was married to Annie Leis, who died Jan. 22, 1964. Surviving are one daughter (Beatrice - Mrs. Sam N. Schultz), 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Seven brothers and 3 sisters predeceased him. He was ordained as a minister at Maple View, near Wellesley, Ont., on June 5, 1938, and served as bishop from Dec. 21, 1941, to October 14, 1956. He also served as moderator of the Ontario A.M. Conference. Funeral services were conducted at the Maple View Chuch, June 17, by Chris O. Erb, Chris Streicher, and Alvin Leis.

He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour in his youth and was ordained to the ministry on June 7, 1891, in which field he labored faithfully till the end. He is survived by his sorrowing companion, 1 son, 1 adopted daughter (Mrs. Mose Erb, Zurich, Ont.), and 1 step-daughter (Martha, at home); also 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers (Jacob S., of Poole, Ont., and M.S. Zehr, of Pigeon, Mich.), and 2 sisters (Mrs. Barbara Zehr and Mrs. Peter Leichty). Funeral services were held at the home by John Wagler and at the Maple View Amish Mennonite Church by Bros. MRS. JACOB F. LICHTY.
The unexpected death of this well-known and highly respected lady, which occurred at her home just east of the village last Saturday evening, cast a gloom of sorrow over the community. She has been somewhat ill of late but was thought to be improving. She retired early on Saturday evening and shortly afterwards complained of a pain in her heart, which rapidly increased until she expired in about twenty minutes. She was a daughter of Christian Zehr, sr., of this village, and was in her 32nd year. Besides her sorrowing husband, Bishop Lichty, she leaves a family of four children, the youngest a babe six weeks old. Then was an immense attendance at the funeral, which occurred yesterday. Bishop Bender of Tavistock, preaching the sermon, assisted by Mr. Gascho, of St. Agatha. The remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining Bishop Lichty's sorrow-stricken home.

Death of Mr. J. S. Zehr

Mr. John Zehr one of Wellesley's popular and enterprising young business men, died somewhat suddenly just before noon on Tuesday, the 15th inst. in his 32nd year. Since his early youth he has been the victim of a mild form of heart trouble which prevented him from doing heavy work but by thrift and ability he has built up a prosperous machine shop business which he managed successfully until this spring when he found the work too strenuous and his health failing. He was around town as usual up to the week before his death and was only confined to his bed for a day or two. He was an upright, honourable young man and has gained the respect and confidence of all who knew him. The sympathy of the community goes out to his wife and three small children. The funeral occurs to-morrow (Friday) morning at 9 o'clock, the interment taking place at the Third line Mennonite church cemetery near Freebourn's school.

John S. Zehr.

This industrious citizen became the successor of Mr. John Weismiller in the chopping and cider mill on Nov. 22, 1897, and has been doing a successful business ever since. He was born near Wellesley in 1874, and is the son of Mr. Christian Zehr, one of the well known farmers of this section. The cider and chopping mill was established by Weismiller about twelve. years ago. The cider mill is one of the best equipped and most convenient in the county. It has a capacity of turning out about 2,000 gallons per day and during the heavy apple crop of 1896 its total output was something like 50,000 gallons. One advantage in this mill is that Mr. Zehr, not having his time taken up in other business has it constantly under his personal supervision and therfore can guarantee good honest work in every particular. Patrons in case of a visit do not have to wait an unusual length of time, everything being so conveniently arranged as to render the grinding of a load of apples in the least possible time. As he makes a specialty of this line of work he is certainly worthy of the farmers' patronage. He has ample water power which is furnished by an unusually powerful spring nearly a mile west of the mill, the water being conveyed through a race about 90 rods long. There is a ten-inch giant wheel. Mr. Zehr worked for five years as a cabinet maker in the states and is a natural mechanic and is not compelled to call in an outsider in case something goes wrong with his machinery. He has now about completed a dust blower for a separator that is said to be a very handy contrivance. His chopping mill is capable of turning out from ten to fifteen bags per hour and is ready for work every day in the year. In connection with the chopping and cider mill he has a lathe and hand saw, and if necessary, should he have a call from a patron for anything in the sash, blind or screen line he can accommodate him

Mr. Zehr is making considerable improvement in the cider mill and by the time the apple season comes on he will be thoroughly prepared to give the best of satisfaction and do the work promptly. In this particular be especially invites the attention of the farmers who will have large apple crops this fall. Those who have not previously done so, but will give him a trial will find that he is fully prepared as stated.

Mrs. Samuel Bast

WELLESLEY-Mrs. Samuel Bast, 83, of Wellesley, died suddenly at her home Friday night.

Mrs. Bast was the former Mary Schultz, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. Schultz, and was born in Wellesley Township.
Mrs. Bast was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley. She lived in the village for 20 years after farming in Wellesley Township.

Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married in 1933 at Wellesley and a sister, Mrs. Samuel (Elizabeth) Leis of RR 2, Wellesley. Three sisters and three brothers predeceased her.

The body will be at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon Monday when removal will be made to Maple View Mennonite Church for service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation or the Western Ontario Mennonite mission board will be accepted as expressions of sympathy

Schwartzentruber, Amos, son of the late Jacob and Magdalena (Schultz) Schwartzentruber, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Sept. 2, 1893; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., June 2, 1966; aged 72 y. 9 m. On Jan. 17, 1915, he was married to Clara Jantzi, who predeceased him July 12, 1917. On June 23, 1920, he was married to Edna Litwiller, who survives. Also surviving are one son (A. Orley), 2 daughters (Doris - Mrs. Lauren Wispe and Anita - Mrs. Raul Garcia), 2 brothers (John and Emanuel), one sister (Mrs. Jeremiah Ramseyer), and 9 grandchildren. Following his ordination to the Christian ministry in 1924, Amos and Edna sailed for South America, having been appointed by the Mennonite Board of Missions to serve in Argentina. In July, 1934, he was ordained to the office of bishop to serve congregations in Argentina. After 40 years of service, the Schwartzentrubers retired in 1963 and took up residence in Kitchener. Funeral services were held at Steinman's Church, with Orland Gingerich and Paul Erb officiating; interment in St. Agatha Mennonite Cemetery.

Rev. Amos Swartzentruber 72, of 24 Cameron St. N., died today at St. Mary's Hospital following a lengthy illness.

A resident of Kitchener for the past 30 months, he served as a missionary for the Mennonite board of missions and charities in Argentina for 40 years, retiring in November, 1963.

Mr. Swartzentruber was born at Petersburg, Sept. 2, 1893, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Swartzentruber.

He was a member of Steinman Mennonite Church, Baden. His marriage to the former Edna Litwiller, who survives, took place at St. Agatha June 23, 1920.

Surviving besides his wife are one son, Rev. A. Orley Swartzentruber, Albany, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Lauren (Doris) Wispe, Bethesda, Md., and Mrs. Raul (Anita) Garcia, Pehuajo, Argentina; two brothers, John, Bridgeport and Emanuel, Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Jeremiah Ramseyer, Kitchener and nine grandchildren.

The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Sunday when removal will be made to Steinman Mennonite Church, Baden, for service at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Orland Gingerich will officiate. Interment will be in St. Agatha Mennonite cemetery.

She was converted very young and lived a Christian life. She served her Lord with gladness. She found much joy and pleasure in being good to others. She was of a cheerful disposition, which won for many friends. She will be missed in the community, in the church, but most of all in the home where she was a kind companion to one who loved her dearly. Her mother and father preceded her in death. There remain 3 sisters and 1 brother (Mrs. Dan Schlabach, Guernsey, Sask.; Mrs. Moses Leis, Wellesley; Mrs. David Bingeman, Mose Schultz, Baden, Ont.). Schlabach. - Annie, daughter of John L. and Catherine Schultz, was born March 29, 1888; died Sept. 11, 1941, at the Manitou Hospital, Waltrous, Sask.; aged 53 y. 5 m. 13 d. Her passing came very unexpectedly, being well. After a major operation she lived only 7 days, her heart not being able to withstand the shock. She had a similar operation 13 years ago and one 10 years ago. On Feb. 26, 1913, she was married to Dan Schlabach, after which they made their home in Saskatchewan. To this union were born 4 sons and 1 baby girl, 6 weeks old, was adopted in 1933. She accepted Christ as her personal Saviour when 18 years old, and served her Lord until death. While she was not a public worker, she was very much concerned about the safety of the ungodly, often expressing her wish that God will give them time to get right with Him. A little over a year ago she, with her husband, was ordained to the ministry to have charge of the Sharon Mennonite Church near Guernsey, Sask. She labored faithfully by her husband's side, visiting the sick, concerned about the poor, and donating many flowers to the aged and friends. She leaves to mourn: her husband, 4 sons, 1 daughter, 1 brother, and 2 sisters. Her parents and 1 brother preceded her to glory. Funeral services were held at the Sharon Mennonite Church, conducted by Bros. J. B. Stauffer of Tofield, Alta., and Edwin Bartel, Drake, Sask. The body was taken to Baden, Ont., to the home where she was born, raised, and married - now the home of Bro. and Sister Dave Holst. Funeral services were held at St. Agatha A. M. Church where she was baptized 35 years ago, in charge of Bros. M. H. Schmitt, formerly of Guernsey who ordained her, and M. O. Jantzi.

LITWILLER, Mrs. Salome
On Sunday, March 3, 1991, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Salome Litwiller, of RR 2, Petersburg.
She was born in Wilmot township 95 years ago, a daughter of the late John Gascho and the former Mary Schultz. She was a member of the Steinmann Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden, where she was a member of the WMSC. She enjoyed needlework and quilting. She was a lifelong resident of Wilmot township. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Beloved wife of Elmer, Litwiller who predeceased her September 13, 1984. Lovingly remembered by one son, Earl and his wife Mary of RR 2, Petersburg. Dear grandmother of Duane Litwiller and his wife Susan of RR 2, Petersburg, Sheryl and her husband Albert Crabbe of Baden. Fondly remembered by five great-grandchildren, Gregory and Kara Litwiller, Jacqueline, Victoria and Suzanne Crabbe and four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mabel (Daniel) Gascho of Kitchener, Mrs. Ida (Norman) Gascho of New Hamburg, Mrs. Louise (William) Litwiller of Lowville, N.Y. and Elmeda and her husband Henry Bechler of Pigeon, Mich.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Daniel and Norman Gascho and her sisters, Nancy (Mrs. Michael Roth) and Leah (Mrs. Simeon Jutzi).

On Friday, Feb. 3, 1984, at the Bluewater Rest Home, Zurich, Mr. Noah Jantzi, aged 88 years. He was born in Wilmot township, and was formerly of the Baden area prior to moving to Zurich. He was a member of the Steinman Mennonite Church, RR 2, Baden.

Dear son of the late John B. Jantzi and the former Nancy Schultz; beloved husband of the former Magdalene (Mattie) Jutzi whom he married December 12, 1917; lovingly remembered by his son Laverne and his wife Myrtle of Levittown, Pa.; his daughter Wilma and her husband Albert Erb of RR 2, Zurich. Sadly missed by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by one daughter, Clarine, in infancy; two brothers, David and William; one sister, Clara (Mrs. Amos Schwartzentruber).

Funeral was held Feb. 6 at Steinman Mennonite Church with Rev. Fred Lichti and Rev. Clayton Kuepfer officiating, Interment in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jantzi was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley.

Surviving besides his wife, the former Edith Leis, whom he married in Wellesley on June 23, 1931, is one brother, Noah of Baden.

He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.

Services were held Friday at Maple View Mennonite Church with burial taking place in the adjoining church cemetery.

Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, was in charge of arrangements.

Born in Topping, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Boshart. He was employed at J.M. Schneider Ltd. until his retirement in 1965.

He was a member of the Milverton Legion, Branch 565, and the Poole Mennonite Church. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

On Apr. 10, 1906, she was married to Mose Gascho, who preceded her in death Oct. 31, 1916. Surviving are 3 daughters (Lena, Marie, and Nancy), one son (Samuel), and one brother (Aaron Jantzi). One son (Reuben) and a daughter (Anna) preceded her in death. She was a member of the Pigeon River Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held Dec. 31, in charge of Earl Maust and Luke Yoder; interment in church cemetery.

Survived by a daughter-in-law, Laurene Zehr of Zurich. Grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one sister, Mary Erb; one son Harold and a grandson Parry Zehr. Mr. Zehr's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Mrs. Peter (Mattie) Spenler, 71, of Milverton, died Thursday, December 22^nd, at her home. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Zehr, she was born in the Township of Wellesley September 25^th, 1889. She was married to the late Peter Spenler in 1911. They farmed near Poole on the farm now owned by a son, John. Her husband died in 1935. She and her family remained on the farm until 1949 when they moved to Milverton, near the C.N.R. station. She was a member of the Amish Mennonite Church west of Poole. Surviving are two sons, Jacob, of Stratford, and John of Poole; five daughters, Elizabeth, Sarah and Amanda, at home, and Mrs. Lorne (Mary) Schmidt and Mrs. Norman (Madeliene) Gerber, of Millbank; two sisters, Mrs. William (Fannie) Poole, of Poole, and Nancy Zehr, of R.R. 1, Milverton; three brothers, Sam and William Zehr, of Poole, and Chris, K. Zehr, of Milverton, and 14 grandchildren. Three daughters died in infancy. The body rested at her home where the funeral was conducted Saturday at 1: 30 p.m., followed by a service at the Amish Mennonite Church, Poole, at 2: 15. Bishop Moses Nafziger officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers were, Clarence Poole, Mahlon Zehr, Ezra Jantzi, John L. Erb, John Poole and Emanuel Bast (all nephews).

Born in Wellesley Township Aug. 8, 1902, she was the former Magdalena (Lena) Lichti, a daughter of the late Peter F. Lichti and the former Magdalena Zehr. Her husband, Christian Z. Gerber died Sept. 15, 1969.

She was a member of the Mapleview Mennonite Church.

Surviving are three sons, Ralph and wife Katie, of Wellesley, Roy and wife Madeline, of RR 1, Millbank and Murray and wife Hazel of Crosshill; three sisters, Mrs. Aaron (Emma) Gerber, of Crosshill, Mrs. Tom (Martha) Coulter, of Listowel and Mrs. Allen (Fannie) Bender, of Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Carrie Lichti, of Millbank and Mrs. Katie Gerber, of Nithview, New Hamburg one brother, Manasseh; also 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers.

LICHTY, Rev. Samuel

Rev. Samuel Lichty, 64, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of the Linwood district, died on Sunday, January 1, in Phoenix after a long illness.
Born on August 24, 1902, in Wilmot Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Lichty. He was an Amish Mennonite minister and also farmed and did carpentry work in the Linwood district before moving to Phoenix two years ago. He was a member of the Conservative Mennonite Church, Millbank.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Schmucker, whom he married March 29, 1925, in Ohio; six sons, Jacob , of Wellesley; Daniel and Norman, both of R.R. 1 Linwood; Amos, of R.R. 1 Millbank; Samuel, of Heidelberg; and Emanuel, of R.R. 1, Wellesley; six daughters, Mrs. Sylvester (Nancy) Sauder, of California; Mrs. Carl (Anna) Kirby, of New Brunswick; Mrs. Mahlon (Mary) Gerber, of R.R. 1, Millbank; Mrs. Orville (Catharine) Godson, of Kitchener; Rebecca, of Toronto, and Ruth, of Phoenix; one brother, Jacob, of Wellesley; four sisters, Mrs. Katie Kuepfer, of Milverton; Mrs. Noah (Nancy) Gascho, of Aylmer; Mrs. Noah (Lydia) Roes, of R.R. 1, Milverton, and Mrs. Nicholas (Mary) Jantzi, of R.R. 1, Wellesley; 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was predeceased by one son, three brothers and two sisters.

The body will arrive from Phoenix late Thursday and will be at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lichty, of R.R. 1, Linwood, afternoon on Friday. A family service will be conducted at the home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at the Conservative Mennonite Church, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Valentine Nafziger and Rev. Kenneth Brenneman will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Zehr and the former Catherine Schultz. He was an active member of Steinman Mennonite Church, RR 2 Baden, where he had taught Sunday School for many years; he was a member of Especially for Seniors Club, Baden; a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Baden; had been a member of the Baden Park Board; was named Baden's Citizen of the Year, 1983; he was a former secretary of the Mennonite Credit Union (Ontario); also had been a director on the Board of the House of Friendship, Kitchener and had assisted in the setup of the MCC Self Help Store in New Hamburg. Beloved husband of the former Salome Jutzi, who predeceased him in July 1985. Lovingly remembered by three children, Delford and his wife Grace of London, Ontario, Velma and her husband Finlay Cook of Collingwood and Carl and his wife Joyce of Kitchener. Sadly missed by his Grandchildren, Dennis, John and Chantelle. Dear brother of Mrs. Fannie Jantzi of New Hamburg. Zehr, Menno, son of John and Catherine (Shultz) Zehr, was born in Wellesley, Ont., Sept. 21, 1903; died at his home in Milverton, Ont., July 15, 1980; aged 76 y. On Nov. 26, 1925, he was married to Alice Baechler, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Ken), 2 daughters (Blanche-Mrs. Lincoln Ropp, Nelda-Mrs. Edgar Leis), 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one brother (Chris), and one sister (Fannie-Mrs. Allen Jantzi). MILLBANK-Mrs. Joseph Lichty of Millbank died Sunday at Listowel Hospital. She was 78.

The former Catherine Wagler, she was born in Wellesley Township, Jan. 18, 1891, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wagler. She was a member of Riverdale Mennonite Church and of the church sewing circle.

Mrs. Lichty was predeceased by her husband in January, 1963, by two sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are two sons, David and Samuel of Millbank; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Nancy) Leis and Mrs. Aaron (Emma) Jantzi, both of RR 1, Millbank; one brother, John of Wellesley; three sisters, Mrs. Ezra (Elizabeth) Leis and Mrs. Jacob Z. Mrs. David Gascho, 69, of Millbank, died Sunday, June 11 at the Listowel Memorial Hospital.

The former Magdalena Wagler, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wagler and was born in Millbank.

She was a member of the Maple View Mennonite Church Wellesley.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Gerald of Millbank, Glenn of Wellesley; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Gerber of Millbank; a brother, John of Wellesley; sisters, Mrs. Ezra (Elizabeth) Leis and Mrs. Jacob (Nancy) Lichty, both of Wellesley, 10 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. The body rested at the family residence in Millbank until noon Tuesday when removal was made to the Maple View Mennonite Church for a service at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Alvin Leis officiated. Burial was in church cemetery.

He was afflicted with a rheumatic heart, his end coming suddenly while sitting in a chair. His father also passed away very unexpectedly last November. On Jan. 17, 1923, he was united in holy matrimony with Sister Lucinda Jantzi of Twining, Mich. To this union were born 5 children, 2 having preceded him in infancy. Surviving are his aged mother, his sorrowing companion, 1 son (Orval), 2 daughters (Elsie and Esther), 2 sisters (Mrs. Mahlon Schultz and Mrs. Irvin Zehr, both of Milverton, Ont.). Funeral services were held April 4 at Maple View Church, in charge of Peter Nafziger, Daniel Lebold and Moses 0. Jantzi. Burial in adjoining cemetery.

Emma, daughter of Barbara and the late David Lichti, was born Aug. 1, 1912; died at North Easthope, Ont., April 6, 1941; aged 28 y. 8 m. 5 d. At the age of 15 years she was received into the Wellesley A. M. Church through water baptism by Bishop Daniel Lebold, and was a faithful member until death. Sept. 28, 1933, she was united in holy matrimony with Bro. Ervin Zehr of the Poole A. M. Church, after which she also transferred her membership to Poole. They shared their joys and sorrows for over seven years. This union was blessed with 3 sons. She leaves her husband, 3 sons (David, Daniel, and Albert), her mother, 1 sister (Lizzie, wife of Mahlon Schultz of Ellice), and many other relatives and friends. Her father, 2 brothers, and 1 sister preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted April 9 at her late home in charge of Bro., Amos Brunk, with further services at the Wellesley Maple View A. M. Church in charge of Bro. C. R. Brunk in German, and Bro. Peter Nafziger in English. Text, II Cor. 4: 17. Interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by one son Donald (Reb) Albrecht (1989) and his wife Jean (2000) and son-in-law Ronald Yungblut (2003). Fondly remembered by 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
