Murray John Kempthorne Lifelong Resident Of Washington District Passes

Murray John Kempthorne died suddenly at his home in Washington on Monday, March 17, in his 70th year. He had lived on the home farm all his life and was affiliated with Washington United Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Sadie Bowman; and one son, Douglas, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Velda) Lamont of Plattsville, Mrs. Edward (Laura) Dedman, Washington, and Mrs. James (Jean) Rounds of Ayr; and one sister Mrs. Evelyn Smith of Washington and 10 grandchildren. The body is resting at the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville, where the service will be held Thursday, Marcb. 20 at 2: 30 p.m. Rev. Harold Pillen will officiate. Interment will be in Ayr Cemetery.
