    On Saturday, March 20, 1982, at his home, R R 1, St. Jacobs, Josiah G. Weber, in his 89th year.

    Beloved husband of Nancy Martin; father of Mrs. Melinda Brubacher of RR 2, West Montrose, Ephraim of RR 1, Wroxeter, Mrs. Saloma Brubacher of RR 3, Wallenstein; Ishmael of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Mrs. Menno (Velina) Martin, of RR 1, St. Clements and Mrs. Eli (Louisa) Martin, of RR 2, Wallenstein.

    Fifty-four grandchildren and 81 great-grandchildren also survive.

    One daughter, one son and three sisters predeceased him.

    Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, after 7 p.m. today, until Sunday at 1 p.m., when removal will be made to his home, RR 1, St.. Jacobs, where funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

    Then to the Conestogo Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

    On Tuesday, April 15, 1980, at her home, 12 William St., Elmira, Susanna Weber, widow of Oziah Bearinger, aged 82 years.

    Mother of Mrs. Noah (Lucinda) Bauman of Wallenstein and Mrs. Leonard (Lovina) Bauman of Wallen- stein, Ivan of R.R. 2, West Montrose, Abner and Clea- son of RR 1, Elmira, Mrs. Emanual (Annie) Bowman of St. Jacobs and Mrs. Orlan (Edna) Martin of RR 1, Lin- wood; sister of Josiah Weber of St. Jacobs; 41 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren also survive. She was predeceased by one son and two sisters.

    The funeral was held from the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Cleason Bearinger, RR 1, Elmira, on Thursday, April 17. Removal was then made to the Elmira Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Predeceased by her parents Manasseh and Lydia Ann (Weber) Martin, siblings Emil (Minerva) Martin, Orval (Hannah) Martin, Selina (Sidney) Gingrich, Sidney (Irene) Martin, Josiah (in childhood), Minerva (Herman) Martin, and brother-in-law Edgar Martin.

    Alice was a devoted wife and loving mother, serving her family with joy. Humming or singing as she worked was common. She was a faithful member of Countryside Mennonite Fellowship for over 50 years. She was involved in the activities of the church, teaching Sunday School, going to sewing circle, and hosting many friends in their home.

    In her retirement years, she pieced and knotted many baby comforters, not keeping track of how many she did. She was a wonderful example in accepting life as it happened \endash chuckling through difficult times. We will miss her cheerful spirit and presence.

    Special thanks to the staff at Chartwell retirement and St. Mary's Hospital for their loving care.

    A drive past visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Countryside Mennonite Fellowship, 3745 Herrgott Road, Hawkesville.

    A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Hillside Cemetery.

Lovingly remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sister of Rebecca Martin of Hawkesville and Alice Shantz of Elmira. Sister-in-law to Minerva Martin of Waterloo and Hannah Martin of Carthage. Also survived by 53 grandchildren and 83 great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters Nancy (the late Aaron) Martin, Luida and Cleason Sauder, Mary and Henry Weber, and by brothers John and Salome Martin, Eli and Elvina Martin, and sister-in-law Mary Ann (the late Sidney) Martin. Predeceased by her parents Josiah G. and Lovina Martin, infant brother Enos, brother Sidney, brother-in-law Aaron Martin, sister-in-law Louisa (Eli) Martin, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call at her home, on Friday, November 18th (today) from 10 a.m.-12 noon and 2-6 p.m. where a family service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 9 a.m., then to Creek Bank Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery.
