    JIGGINS- George Daniel

    At the Cambridge Country Manor Nursing Home, Thursday, January 31, 1991, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Gladys Morrison and dear father of Reginald and Douglas of Cambridge, Jean (Mrs. Clifford Martin), Marilyn (Mrs. Douglas Webber) both of Cambridge, Betty (Mrs. Jack Dymond) of Hamilton, beloved grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Mrs. Pearl Anderson of Belleville, predeceased by a brother, David and 2 sisters, Florence and Minnie. Mr. Jiggins was born in Cambridge and retired from Fromm Brothers. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.

Makcrow, nee Donnait (1996) and dear mother of Patsy Zabizewski and husband Tom Blain of Cambridge, Paul and wife Connie of B.C. Mike and wife Kathleen of Calgary, Debbie Makcrow of C.C., Danny and wife Cathy of Calgary, Marilyn Makcrow, Dave and Kitty all of B.C., Linda Blain and husband Dave, and Donna Rankin all of Cambridge. Also surviving is his brother Don and wife Margaret of Owen Sound and a sister Helen Caskenette and husband Richard of Honeymoon Bay, B.C., and 20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Monday February 10, 1997 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday February 11, 1997 at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev.     Wm. F. MAKCROW Dies Suddenly Playing Sport
    A well-known local young man died suddenly here on Saturday while playing broomball.
    William Floyd Makcrow of 19 Clarence St., collapsed on the ice at the Hespeler Memorial Arena, playing broomball for the Guelph Bowling Club, following the conclusion of the midget hockey tournament.
    Born in Hespeler Oct. 20, 1932, Mr. Makcrow was a life-long resident of the town. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Makcrow of Preston, and was married to the former Waneeta Garness.
    Mr. Makcrow was employed at Clare Brothers in Preston, was a member of the Guelph Bowling Club, and the Puslinch Golf and Country Club, showing a keen interest in sports.
    Surviving are his wife of 10 Clarence St., Hespeler, his parents, two brothers, Robert of Galt and Donald of RR 1, Preston, and a sister, Mrs. Richard (Helen) Caskenette of Trout Creek, Ont.
    Mr. Makcrow is resting at the Nelson Funeral Home, 23 Galt St., Hespeler, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Hespeler cemetery.

    Bessie Jane McKenzie Diebel accomplished a number of things in her life. She was the founder of the Oxford County Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. In that role she began the important process or organizing the genealogical efforts of the County. Bessie also was the director of the London Ontario Stake Family History Centre and later the Director of the Kitchener Ontario Stake Family History Centre. She and her husband served two genealogical missions for her church, one in British Columbia and one in Quebec. Bessie was a Certified Genealogical Records Specialist with the Board for Genealogists in Washington and an Accredited Records Extractor with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    DIEBEL, Bessie of Waterloo, Ontario (formerly of Woodstock, Ontario), on Monday, September 8, 2003, suddenly at home in her 65th year. Bessie McKenzie, beloved wife of, Lorne E.E. (Ted) Diebel. Dear mother of Cynthia and Brian Stacey, Janice and Andrew Moore, Michael and Donna Diebel, Audrey and Todd Vary, Leona and Glen Ince and Lorne and Julie Diebel. Specially missed by her 18 grandchildren Amanda, Jennifer, Jacob, Nathaniel, Stephanie, Riley, Todd, Briannaā€˛ Laura, Alyssa, Jessica, Joshua, Sara, Kylee, Tyler, Landen, Emma and Meghan. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Audrey McKenzie and by her brothers Larry and Sam. Bessie will be specially missed by her sister Elaine Leeks and her family and by her mother-in-law Elaine Diebel. Bessie was born in St. Thomas, Ontario on November 28, 1938. She was proud to be a member of the Ontario Genealogy Society and was the first female certified genealogist in Canada. Bessie served two missions with the Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-Day Saints with her husband Lorne. The family will receive friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 10 Lorraine Avenue, Kitchener from 12:45- 1:30 p.m. (Thursday) and the funeral service will be held in the Church on Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Henry Wasler Funeral Home, 749-8467.
