Kropf, Wayne Duncan 1936 - 2016
With great sorrow, Wayne's family announces his passing on January 12, 2016 in his 80th year at Freeport Seniors' Specialized Mental Health Unit after a challenging ordeal with dementia. Beloved Husband and Best Friend of Gail for 53 years. Father of much loved Shane and Jason, loving Grandfather of Ashley Nyal. Survived by sister Dianne Hause, sister-in-law Gloria Kropf, brothers-in-law Nick Colibaba and Ken Gawthorn, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Elizabeth; siblings Esther, Gladys, George, Albert, Arthur, Robert and Lawrence. Wayne was a Transit Driver for 30 years with Kitchener P.U.C. and the City of Kitchener. He was a man with many interests and talents, but his family, faith and friends always came first. Wayne was a long time member of St. Andrew's Memorial Anglican Church. A special Thank You is extended to all the Medical and Support staff at the SMHU in Freeport Hospital. Wayne's family will receive friends and relatives from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Private family service to take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to St. Andrew's Anglican Church (Memorial Fund) or GRH-Freeport Hospital (Seniors' Specialized Mental Health Unit) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
