Holst.- Catherine Annie, daughter of John and Lydia (Ringler) Holtzworth, was born in Logan Twp., Ont., Aug. 29, 1891; died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Ont., Sept. 25, 1982; aged 91 y. On Sept. 2, 1914, she was married to Jacob Holst, who preceded her in death. Surviving are 6 sons (Albert, Harvey, Delton, George, Clarence, and John), 3 daughters (Irene, Viola, and Luella Souder), 42 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son (Walter) and one daughter (Margaret). She was a member of Mannheim Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Sept. 28, in charge of James Reusser and Gordon Bauman; interment in Blenheim Mennonite Cemetery.

HOLST, Viola Passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013, at her residence Pinehaven Nursing Home, Waterloo. She was born 94 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Annie (Holtzworth) Holst. Viola will be missed by her sisters-in-law Ellen Holst, Joanna Ropp, Grace Holst, Mae Holst all of New Hamburg; Edith Holst of Kitchener; Susan Holst of Waterloo; and brother-in-law, Wesley Sauder of St. Jacobs. Remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Viola was predeceased by her sisters Irene Holst, Margaret Holst in infancy, Luella Sauder, brothers Albert, Harvey, Delton, George, Clarence, Walter, John and his wife Beatrice Holst. Viola was a member of New Hamburg Conservative Mennonite Church. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Interment to follow immediately after the visitation in Blenheim Mennonite Cemetery. Loving father of Harvey (Anne), Harry (Kathy), the late Harold (1962), Howard (Giselle), Judy Susanna (Rudy), and Joyce Thomas (Barry). HOLST, George - Peacefully, went home to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at his residence in New Hamburg. He was born 83 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Jacob and Annie (Holtzworth) Holst. George was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden. George enjoyed gardening, woodworking and volunteering at Nithview Home and the New Hamburg Thrift Store for many years.
Beloved husband of Grace (Jantzi) Holst whom he married June 2, 1948. Loving father of Robert and Vera Holst of Gowanstown, Bruce Holst and Brenda Meadows of Goderich, Paul and Cindy Holst of New Hamburg, Shirley and Steve Kennel of Bright, and Audrey and Paul Rooney of Kitchener. Loving grandpa of 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. HOLST, Clarence - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at K-W Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Clarence Holst, of RR1, St. Agatha. He was born 78 years ago on June 20, 1927 in Wilmot Township, a son of the late Jacob and Annie (Holtzworth) Holst. Clarence was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church where he had been the cemetery caretaker for many years. He farmed at RR1, St. Agatha for over 50 years, was a member of the Happy Farmers Harmonica Band and enjoyed woodworking, planting trees and spending time with his grandchildren. Beloved husband of Mae Victoria (Zehr) Holst who he married October 6, 1951. ANTHONY, Yvonne Anne (Holst) Passed away peacefully after a long battle with her health on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Stratford General Hospital. Yvonne was a resident of People Care, Tavistock and was formerly of Kitchener. She was born 57 years ago in Galt, a daughter of Clarence and Mae (Zehr) Holst. Beloved wife of Ivan Anthony who she married October 17, 1970. Loving mother of Renee and Michael Goodman, Pamela Anthony, and Ryan and Karla Anthony. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Emily, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew, Meagan and Danielle. Dear daughter of Mae Holst and sister of Richard and Brenda Holst, Donell and Judy Holst, Brian Holst and Iris McNab, Dennis and Linda Holst, Glenn and Debbie Holst, Rosemary and David Wenger and Michael and Margaret Holst. Also remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law Nelson and Mary Anthony, Muriel and Raymond Whynot, Mary Anthony and Deb Anthony, all of Nova Scotia. Lovingly remembered by her grandmother Sarah Zehr and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
